We use this in one of our measurement machines and they last around three years. The heat breaks down the contacts and causes high resistance and they just go bad. LightBulbs.com keeps us going!!!

Excellent fit. The original was missing and this ended up being an exact match for replacement. The vendor of the original equipment could not match me up but your company has made it right and saved me money....a lot

We use these in science museum exhibits. They work well. The wires are long enough, the metal frame has predrilled holes for mounting, and the lever release is VERY handy when the fixture is mounted in a tight spot. The only problem, which I've experienced with other MR-16 holders as well as with this style, is that it's not uncommon for the contacts to corrode over a period of several years. The only fix for this is replacement. But as I've said, this seems to be a problem with all MR16 holders, so it's not a mark against this one in particular. Maybe some dielectric grease would help. Overall, I recommend it. Nice bulb holder for a reasonable price. Be sure to put strain relief on the wires.
