A couple of years ago I purchased this smoker at Lowes. It was my first smoker. I used it for 2 and a half years before discovering that the bottom had rusted out to the point where the burner cowling was falling apart. I realized that It was time to replace it or upgrade. Rather than upgrade to something that will last a lifetime, I decided to go with what I have already invested so much time figuring out how to use, so I bought another one. It is a newer and nicer model and I paid less than I did the first time. This is a dual fuel smoker and whether you are using Charcoal or Propane, the temperature is controlled by good old fashioned venting. Which is why; While the smoker door sports an analog thermometer, I found it best to get a dual probe wireless temperature probe. One for monitoring the temperature of the smoker, the other for the internal temperature of the meat. The best thing I can say about it is the capacity is terrific. You get 4 racks that you can configure anyway you like with 2 inch intervals. It is an affordable place to start and yes, it works well. It is difficult to get a "good smoke level" on your food. The design is not great for sliding the racks forward and glazing your food without the glaze running down the bottom front door and the control panel. The doors are not quite level and do not have gaskets to prevent smoke from leaking out. The assembly of the vents is semi complicated. The ability to control the heat is very convenient. Over all I am enjoy using this smoker it just has a few design issues that could have been better.

We have had 2 meals cooked so far Ribs, and pork loin and must I say it was the best food ever the meat was so tender it just fell apart and it was so juicy. Best investment I have ever made. I was pleasantly surprised when I received the smoker And i started assembling. It comes with two wheels attached to the legs and braces for support on all four legs. I seasoned the smoker before I used it and it maintains temperature perfectly the only drawback I found was that there’s holes in the smoker pan so it burns the wood chips quickly and starts them on fire so I just put a cast-iron frying pan on top Of the smoker pan and fill that with wood chunks works great!
