Planning a new two-channel system or small-footprint home theater? Consider the JBL Stage A130. It's one of the smallest speakers in JBL's new lineup, but it benefits from the company's long and rich history of making speakers.

JBL paid particular attention to the design of the enclosure on these speakers, aiming to craft a non-resonant cabinet with rigid walls and internal bracing so that you hear your content as it was intended to be heard.

Expertly built drivers

The 1" aluminum dome tweeter is mounted in an HDI (High Definition Imaging) waveguide that was designed for the JBL Professional M2 Master Reference Monitor. This flared shape helps smooth the transition from woofer to tweeter for a broad sweet spot and clear high-frequency detail.

Each speaker's striking white 5-1/4" woofer is made of a stiff, but lightweight polycellulose material to deliver solid bass for its size. A rear-panel port reinforces bass performance.

Build a complete JBL Stage system

Q
Hello, can the Schiit Jotunheim headphone amplifier power these? Thank you.

A
No. The Schiit Jotunheim is designed to power headphones. These are bookshelf speakers and require more power than headphones.

Q
Can these be used with an eight ohm receiver?
doyle  Sep 19, 2022
1 answer
A
Greetings Doyle, and thank you for your question. In most cases a stereo receiver will not have an issue running just one pair of these. If you have a specifications page in your receivers manual, it should list a minimum impedance. If your receiver is 4ohm, or 6ohm minimum, you will be fine.

Q
Newbie question: Do I need an amp in order to use these speakers (JBL Stage A130)? I just have a Yamaha RS700 for a receiver. I'm contemplating using these JBL's in an A + B (tandem) setup w/ my old MTX floor speakers.
daniel  Aug 12, 2022

A
Greetings Dan, and thank you for your question. Those JBLs being 6 ohm unlike the more standard 8 ohm is going make that Yamaha RS700 get warmer than it would when all 8 ohm speakers were connected to it running at the same time. If you need the A channels, and the B channels both on at the same time, the receiver just might not like that under 4 ohm impedance. An 8 ohm speaker would be a better option. I would not want you to burn out that nice Yamaha. Option 2 would be to get a secondary amplifier connected to that Yamaha, and run those JBLs off the second amp.
