Overview: The 509U Ultrasonic Sensor is used to proved coverage of a vehicle's interior cabin area. The sensors detect movement inside the vehicle by sensing air disturbance. The will trigger the alarm if a thief has gained access to the interior of your vehicle.

Compatibility: The 509U can interface with the 4-piin MUX port of all Directed security systems using the supplied wiring harness. For other Directed and non-Directed security systems that doe not have the 4-pin MUX ports, the 509U can be hard-wired to a negative instant trigger sensor input.

Mounting: The 509U should be mounted under the dashboard that is close enough that the supplied 40" wire harness can reach your alarm control module and the supplied transducers will reach the top of the A-pillar on both the driver and passenger sides of your vehicle. The transducers come supplied with mounting brackets which allow you to angle and position the transducers for maximum coverage.

Controls: the 509U features a sensitivity adjuster control which allows you to adjust the sensitivity of the Ultrasonic Sensor.

Connections: The 509U is equipped with two 2-pin ports used for the two supplied transducers and one 3-pin port used for the supplied wiring harness. The wiring harness features three wires that will need to hardwired to your vehicle's and alarm wiring.

• Red (+) 12V Constant: connect this wire to a fused 12V constant power source
• Black (-) Chassis Ground: connect this wire to chassis ground of the vehicle
• Blue (-) Trigger Output: connect this wire to the instant trigger input of the vehicle security system
