The Tempest 30 pack is a women's specific top loading technical backpack with a removable top pocket ideal for light overnight backpacking and day hiking. The Tempest series shares all of the same lightweight and high performance features of the ever popular Talon series but with harness, hipbelt and specific torso sizes designed to fit a woman's body.
I bought this pack for "El Camino de Santiago" (last 120km). It fits comfortably and the backside has a mesh which separates the pack from your back keeping it mostly dry. Shoulder straps also have soft cushion and mesh. All my belongings fit perfectly.

When properly adjusted for my torso length, the ... Read more

This is a fairly minimalistic bag, but still great quality. It's a fantastic bag for long day hikes, overnighters, and even summer weekends. I bought the XS for my 10 year old daughter, and it fits great, with room to grow. Osprey also has fantastic customer service.
The shoulder belts dig into the shoulder and it hurts a lot. I am training myself walking on a flat trail for 2 hours everyday with the stuff around 6 LB.
I will be on TMB walk in July and I am going to carry less than 7 LB.
So I am wondering that I need to pad the belts with a sponge layer.
I've been using LL Bean school backpack and it didn't hurt that much even with hea... Read more
