In aid climbing, you place protection, clip a climbing aider to it, walk up the ladder, and repeat. Use this while top stepping or free climbing. Metolius 5 Step Pocket Aider is one of the most comfortable etrier-style aiders to walk up because of the Biothane Step Stiffeners. The Biothane keeps the ladder steps open and sturdy underfoot and keeps the sides of the aiders from pinching the sides of your foot.
