Product Info for Evolv Shakra Climbing Shoe - Women's
The Evolv Shakra Climbing Shoe utilizes the same technology (love bump, knuckle box) as the highly successful Shaman in a lower volume and narrower fitting upper design. An amazing fit, a dual hook and loop closure system, and side-pressure relief rand design, make it an extremely comfortable high performance climbing shoe. They've added even more rubber for optimal toe hooking and with a slightly softer midsole than the Shaman, the Shakra offers more sensitivity on the rock.
Features of Evolv Shakra Climbing Shoe - Women's:
Slight "Knuckle Box"
"Love Bump" midsole increases sensititivy
Dual hook and loop closure system

I bought these for deep water free solo climbing, as they are synthetic (faster drying after getting wet) and have a fairly aggressive shape (ideal for bouldering). The sizing was tricky, as I normally go down about one full size from my running shoe sizing (US W 10) for La Sportiva climbing shoes (to US W 8.5/9), but I had to size up for these Evolv climbing shoes (to US W 11)... I love these shoes for bouldering, especially for steeper stuff. They are softer than my other shoes (Scarpa Instinct VS, Sportiva Katana Lace). I really liked the predecessor to these too: the Shaman LVs. I got the same exact size as the LVs but I wish I would have sized up half a size from the LVs because these are just a tad bit smaller I think.

I've worn Evolvs for many years, and these shoes continue to impress. I love the the powerful and aggressive build of these shoes. For higher-end, technical climbing with minuscule toe hooks, heel hooks and precision, I love these shoes.

I tried on a pair of these shoes when evolv came to demo at the gym. These shoes are really comfy but at the time, I tried on size 9 women’s and the fit was good but after a while, it was a little tight. I would recommend going a half shoe size up. These shoes are also pretty agressive so I would wear these for gym climbing or bouldering outdoor. Might be a little tough on the ... Read more

This is my first foray into a downturned shoe, and I was nervous about the painful crush other climbers have talked about. I’m primarily a runner, so protecting my feet is a critical issue – mangled toes would bench me for weeks. I was amazed by the fit of these (go a 1/2 size up). The “knuckle box” and “love bump” features are perfectly shaped to my forefoot, making them tight... Read more
