I can't wait to put these to the true test on our upcoming trip to Alaska. The fit is perfect for layering without being too bulky. The material is really high quality and all the seams feel as though they are very well made and will last a long time. Really happy so far with my new Arcteryx pants!

I have the Beta AR jacket, and was amazed at how bomb proof and yet breathable it was. I put it through the ringer this past winter. I loved it so much that I wanted to get the pants. They will be ideal for touring. But I am going to give them a go as a rain shell set for backcountry backpacking as well. They are perhaps heavy for that, but only relative to flimsier less bombpr... so far so good. I haven’t been able to test them out, but they fit great. Flattering fit. The material feels strong and durable. There aren’t a lot of pockets though. The color is true to the picture and bright.

These were exactly what I was looking for: Gore-Tex, full-length side zippers, interior gaiters, and a pocket. They are a little heavier than I wanted but worth the features--I've had rain pants sans gaiters, and they don't keep my pants from wicking water from the hem up in wet grass or heavy rain.
