Weber combines the best of their iconic charcoal grills with innovative, convenient features in the Performer Grill Series. Made of premium-grade U. S. Steel coated with black porcelain enamel inside and out, the bowl and lid of the Weber 22 inch charcoal kettle grill are precisely formed to allow heat to circulate evenly inside the grill and across the 363 square inches of cooking area. Porcelain enamel coating will not rust or peel, giving your grill years of top performance. The aluminized steel One-Touch cleaning system makes clean-up hassle free. As you rotate the handle, three blades in the bowl move ash through the vents and down into the removable, high-capacity aluminum ash catcher below, which is enclosed to prevent ashes from blowing away and creating a mess. The Touch-N-Go gas ignition system makes charcoal grilling a breeze by lighting the briquettes at the touch of a button using a disposable 14. 1 or 16. 4 ounce propane cylinder (not included). The adjustable, no-rust aluminum top vent provides the proper airflow needed for perfect grilling and, along with the built-in thermometer, allows you to control the temperature inside the grill. Weber Performer grills also feature hinged plated steel cooking grates, for easily adding more charcoal while grilling, a glass-reinforced nylon handle that will withstand the elements for the life of the grill, and a Tuck-Away lid holder that conveniently allows you to store the lid while you grill. The heavy-duty steel cart frame ensures the grill is sturdy and stable, while two crackproof all-weather wheels and two locking casters make moving the grill easy. The cart also has a thermoset work table that adds workspace, three tool hooks, a charcoal storage bin and a wire bottom shelf for storing grilling tools. | Charcoal Grilling - Made Easier Than Ever!I've been a griller and own quite a few grills. I decided to upgrade my Weber Kettle - and was this the best decision I ever made! The best feature: The gas-assist charcoal starter. Put your charcoal chimney in the bottom of the grill. Pop the button - and presto - your charcoal is being started. It's uses the little camping type propane bottles. It sounds like a mini torch...there's so much direct flame getting to the coals. After about 3-4 minutes....(you) turn the gas assist off...and coals are ready in about 10 minutes. This feature works fast! The kettle in the cart is quite nice. Janette work surface to set plates etc. The storage below or the pull out charcoal bin....all makes grilling easier. The roll off and holds the lid mechanism...again, a really nice feature. You just slide the grill over to the side....it tucks into a basket like area...in a split second.....ans easier than trying to tip the lid more...find that old style interior tab, to hang on the side of the kettle. Cooking performance: What else is there to say: It's the same tried and true Weber kettle design cook. It's the best around forever, in charcoal style cooking. | Was This Helpful? |

| So glad to be back in the Weber Family!I had a Performer that I got rid of several years ago (that I had for 10+ years but I left it outside and did not cover it. Rust finally made it unusable.) I went a different brand/style/direction for a replacement and instantly regretted my decision, it had ZERO air control even after I added high temp BBQ Gasket. I hated it so much I bascically stopped grilling. I had the new Performer delivered and assembled for free by Amazon less than a month ago. Immediately did a maiden burn (with no food) to burn off any manufacturing gunk, then used it later that same day for dinner. Love it! When it was cooled off that night I wiped her down and put the cover on. I won't encourage this one to an early demise. | The total packageI bought this grill about 7 years ago and it has done everything that a Weber grill should do. My Dad taught me how to work a Weber. He had a rather unusual weber I have only seen one like it but I know they made them at one time. It was on a wheel barrow frame so it could be moved easily. He had the grill for at least 30 years when he died now my brother has it. This thing can smoke up some awesome ribs. The charcoal holder will hold a full bag of charcoal.
