I liked these a lot better than some of the other similar choices because the lenses and the overall frame width are just a few millimeters smaller. Doesn't make your face look like "all glasses". The proportion was a better fit for me. Quality was as good as another brand that was essentially twice as much, because you get two pairs instead of one with these. I usually pay attention to the number positive reviews when comparing items, but didn't here and I'm glad I chose these. You only get a soft pouch instead of the semi-rigid case, but the inclusion of the screw driver tool that wasn't mentioned was a little bonus. Other than the slightly wider arm, they are more like the original Ray Ban Aviators than the higher priced ones.

After taking a 23andme test I learned I have both variants in a age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and so I read up on it. How to care for your eyes and prevent damage. I have pretty bad eyesight already. It's genetic. All siblings (9 of us) seem to be rather blind. So clearly I should take preventive measures. According to my research I need to eat more greens, omega 3, and the expensive nuts (my husband likes to call them) walnuts, cashews and Pistachios (are they even a nut?)
Secondly, Use a blue light filter on all electronic devices and lastly They suggest always wearing sunglasses that provide full protect when outside... I don't normally like sunglasses and my eyes are my best feature ... but for the sake of preventing blindness I bought some glasses... I'm pleasantly surprised. I don't look terrible in them and they make things look prettier while wearing them. Sorry for the tmi but I guess if you want to keep your eyes healthy.. now you know what you can do. 😁
