So I would have an alternative to save wear and tear on my pricey mens Neumal Ugg boots, I looked for an alternative winter pair of ankle high boots that I could wear that was budget priced, but stylish, waterproof and zippered. Although this pair didn’t have zippers, it does have Velcro ankle straps that make it easy to take on and off, which is the reason I was looking for a zippered pair. So I decided on this pair of Camofsy brand winter snow boots after searching on Amazon. I knew for the under $30 price at that time that I had paid, that it wouldn’t be leather but actually the material mimics real leather pretty well in look and feel! But being synthetic, nonetheless, offers little if any breathability which I found out after using them for long periods of time and my feet felt sweaty. But at least they did keep my feet warm with the synthetic fur-like lining and also dry, since being proven waterproof throughout this past Chicago winter season! In my personal opinion they look stylish in a ‘rugged’ type of way. To add to the looks, they even have a printed “Sport” logo on the outer sides that have a tree graphic that maybe purposely looks very similar to the tree graphic in the name brand “Timber_ _ _ d” logo! Very mild Chicago winter so not extreme weather tested. We will see how well they do in this upcoming winter!

But all in all, still a seemingly good value for the money even at the current almost $40 now, but of course no comparison to my Uggs!

Not sure if these are 100% water proof. There's not much padding inside.

These are not a "hiking: boot/shoe. Their design is not waterproof and they are not well insulated or warm. They are comfortable. I am a male and walk 4 miles a day 4-5 days per week, outside on residential streets. So far I have logged 24 miles on these shoes and they have held up. I have also shoveled snow from my driveway three times wearing these shoes. I bought these as an option to finishing my late winter/early spring walking season before getting my name brand higher priced hiking boots re-heeled. So as of right now they are holding up, but I don't expect they will be worth much after I've logged another 200 miles, if they even make it that far.

They don't have a mid-sole. Most good boots have an eva-midsole. That does effect comfort. The insole seems to be reasonably comfortable. Stitched instead of only glued together construction is a plus. They don't have a waterproof membrane, the leather is allegedly waterproof. The left boot seems to be a little small. For the price, it's a good shoe was casual wear, or wearing around the office. The hollow outsole, and lack of midsole, make it light weight and unlikely to hold up to any heavy use.
