I needed a freezer about the same size as the one on my fridge, at a reasonably affordable price. I've had this one for 4 months now and it seems to be doing the job. It's quiet, easy to care for, unobtrusive, not too heavy. I stacked it on top of my dryer, and it did not make the top of the dryer buckle, and does not jiggle when I run the dryer. The manufacturer recommends defrosting it every 3 months, as it is not self-defrosting. I filled mine to the gills with malleable items like fruit, vegetables etc and it has not frosted up. I don't open it more often than once a week, however. It frozen the food very fast, although I might have set the thermostat a bit high.
It came in a 5-sided carton - the carton slid up off the freezer, i.e. no bottom except the padding under the freezer. The carton would make a fine playhouse for little kids but I was concerned that the freezer was not completely enclosed and sealed inside the carton. The delivery guy was none too gentle with it either, so I recommend if you order it that you be around when it arrives.
