Designed to fit most factory specs, the GX series fl aunt a new HARMAN-proprietary tweeter deflector, they're individually voiced, and have three-ohm voice coils for optimal power distribution. Add Plus One woofer cones, edge-driven soft dome tweeters and an ogle-worthy design, and you've got a speaker that does much more than deliver killer sound.

    I bought these to replace the Bose speakers in my Mk1 Audi TT Roadster. I had read that substituting another speaker for a Bose system is a real challenge because of Bose's low impedance and high sensitivity, and the online specs looked promising for these speakers. I initially just replaced the 6.5 driver to see how it would sound and if it would blend with the remaining speakers...I was blown away at how much better the sound was! I liked the sound so much that I almost didn't want to replace the tweeters, but after a week I swapped those out too. My initial reaction to the tweeters was that they were waaay too hot sounding. I dialed down the treble setting and decided to wait for them to break in and see how they sounded. Over about a week I was slowly able to bring the treble setting back to normal and was getting much more detailed highs and a lot better imaging in my car now. Such a small investment has made me really enjoy my car audio again. Highly recommended.
