Very over-hyped by the advertisements
I've seen ads for this trimmer for years- and I guess they work, because when I decided I wanted a trimmer of this kind this is the first one I searched for, and decided to go for it despite the higher price tag. I have used many other, cheaper 'generic' trimmers in the past, so those are my comparison.The trimmer is packaged very nicely, of course with tons of men-oriented slogans and wording all over the packaging. Included inside we have the trimmer, an option guard, a charging dock + cable, a little carrying bag, and a tiny brush for cleaning the trimmer (though it's much more effective to just run water over it). The trimmer is light in the hand and is very nimble + grippy, making it definitely very easy to use. The first thing I noticed however, is it's just a very standard trimmer... The generic kits I was using included 6 different heads or so, 1 of them being the head that is on this trimmer, so those other kits had 5 additional heads that could be used for different purposes, which I often took advantage of. This one is 3x the price and only has 1 head (and the guard of you can consider that a different one) which is a bit disappointing. However the body itself of the trimmer is definitely nicer and lighter, and one of my favorite parts is that it has a light on it; which is very useful for using in the shower. It's also incredibly quiet, which I greatly appreciate if you don't want everyone to know what you're up to. The shaving experience beyond this was comparable to my much cheaper razors, though I have never been cut/had any problems with any of them. For several times the price I expected a night and day difference, though this was not the case, and I frequently actually missed the other head options my previous ones had. Still, however, it was very easy to use and didn't cause me any problems, if I had no source of comparison (at a much cheaper price point) I would have been very happy.Unfortunately, however, and this is the biggest problem- the little shaver stopped working entirely after just a couple days of use. I used it exclusively in the shower and often took the head off in the shower for cleaning so I'm not sure if it had something to do with the water - but now the shaver simply won't turn on. When I put it in the charging dock it lights up as it should, but when I take it out and press the power button nothing happens. So it cost a lot more, works about as well as my cheaper ones, and then broke after just a few days... So much for the advertisements I have seen all these years. I think they just do a really good job of marketing for this extremely specific use case, while in reality, many other shavers can accomplish the same thing or do an even better job, for a fraction of the price of this one. I'm sure not all while break as mine did but even then, it's hard to recommend at such a steep price point compared to others, without tons of additional benefits to justify it.
