Bought this to hang up my christmas lights under the hand rail on my deck but didn't realize how large they are. They're way too big for my mini lights. However had they been smaller or if I had the larger bulbs they would've worked great. Thin enough to slip between the boards but thick enough to be sturdy.

I bought these shingle clips so that my C9 bulbs would point horizontally, like another style do that are attached to my gutters. These do not hold a C9 light securely. To attach a C9 light you have to first unscrew its cover, slide the base through the hole and then screw it back together. However, it just sits loosely in the clip and can point upward, downward or side to side. It makes a rather untidy looking light arrangement. I returned them.

I have leaf guards on my gutters, and couldn't install gutter clips on the gutters. I was able to use these between the bottom of the gutters and the fascia board. As an added bonus, my lights were now a little more protected from the weather. Nice product.
