For starters, I bought this light kit for one reason only. I got tired of looking at reflections of the lamp lights on the Telly screen. So I bought this thinking that would be the solution. It was. Was it ever.

The backlight is just enough to light up the wall behind the screen and make it easy to look at the screen even when the images alternate from light to dark.

And you can change the color of the lights to suit your mood or the show you are watching. Watching your team’s game with their color backlit on the wall is pretty cool, I must say.

The second, unexpected benefit was that the reduced eye strain helped with the headaches that followed. My wife and I both mentioned that the first night we used the backlight.

Now I need to do the game room Telly. I am definitely getting another one of these kits, and may end up doing the underside of the computer desk as well.

I highly recommend this product as it more than satisfied the need and it is simple to install.

Great lights, but the tape sucks

The install for these lights should be a breeze. Anyone with a brain should be able to install these. However, getting the backing off of the adhesive is a nightmare. It starts peeling off great and then out of nowhere, a super thin film stays on the adhesive instead of being pulled up with the paper backing. So then you have to pick at the film to try and get that off. Or the paper backing starts ripping and leaving bits of itself on the adhesive. I got about half way around my 65" TV before giving up and using different 3M stickies that I had on hand. Other than that, the lights are great! The different modes are cool and I really like how you can choose a color and then manually add more red/green/blue to change up the hue. Get these lights, but use something else to adhere them.

I got these about two years ago for a TV i had. The install was easy and the adhesion was great! I got a new TV recently so wanted to buy the same product I had good luck with. The quality control has clearly gone down. I bought a set and like others - the paper is almost near impossible to get off the back. It rips and when you FINALLY get it off there is no adhesion. I returned it and bought another hoping it was just a defective one but had the same problem with the second pair. Now I have to go spend more on command strips or something. DO NOT BUY THIS IN 2022. FIND ANOTHER OPTION.

There are large gaps, for the corners, that do not have adhesive on them. This makes them a little harder to put on.
