Decent Simple Duffel
Got this for a nice short trip bag.Pros:- Light Weight- Compact- 45L Capacity- Durable Ripstop Poly/PU Body Fabric- Durale Ripstop Poly/PVC Bottom Fabric- Carrying Handle- Shoulder Strap- Soil/Water Resistant- Built-in Integrated Storage Bag- 2 Zippered Pockets- Limited Lifetime WarrantyCons:- Crinkly LookWhat you get in the package:- 1 High Sierra Cargo Duffel BagI tested this product as a day bag as well as a short trip bag. The bag itself stores inside of the side zipper pocket. It collapses down to about 12"x12"x4" and weighs roughly 1.3 lbs. The bag is not rigid so it is difficult for it to keep its shape unless it is fully packed. The ripstop material is durable and tough. The weather proofing of the bag works and is able to repel both dirt. As well as water to some extent. The zippers are either defective or not quality. As you can see in the one of my screenshots, but the top and bottom of the zipper are missing teeth so the zipper gets caught and snags when attempting to open and close it. These zippers are already giving me problems just in testing a few times and IMO will eventually fail.As the bag stores in the side pocket. When you pull the duffle out .. it is crinkled and creased. It takes some time with the bag fully packed for these creases to go away. But as soon as you put it back in the integrated storage pocket again ... you will get the wrinkles and creases again. So I have yet to get the bag to look as smooth and beautiful as the description pictures. However, for the most part .. this is something that I would expect from a packable compact bag.The bag only has two zipper pockets. A small side pocket and a roughly 8" end pocket ... which doubles as the storage bag. Other than that, the main bag area is just an open storage compartment about 12x12"x24".I tested this as a day pack which it is more than sufficient for. As a short trip bag it is suitable for a 2-3 day bag. I found that it comfortably holds two days worth of clothing plus essentials. Three days can be done but you're pushing the threshold of the bags storage capacity. The carrying handle and shoulder strap were both in good working order and functioned as designed. This product also comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty to the original owner for the lifetime of the product against defects in materials or workmanship under normal recreational use. I will be testing out that claim shortly do to the zipper issue and will update this post once I hear back from customer service. All in all, with the exception of the zippers, I found this bag to be of good quality and well made. Assuming the zippers were a defect, the duffel is a simple basic bag that works as a daily use bag or a short trip bag. It has adequate storage and is durable and weather resistant. I would get this bag again.

Very useful bag! Love how simple it is to compact it back to its small size. It’s very convenient for my husband to pack gym clothes for after work and throw in the truck for after work gym time. Has been a great asset to our lives

The bag seems well built not high quality but strong enough. Folds up nicely when packing away, so it can be stored anywhere. One thing that prevents it from getting a 5 star would be the bottom of the bag is not padded the material is thin as the walls of the bag but I guess they did that so it can be folded. But I'd rather a padded bottom just to know that it would provide some protection on the floor (in case airport handlers drag it on the floor etc.) and not rip at some point in the future.

Wish the manufactures would give capacities in gallons. It seems a little smaller than what I calculated in my conversion from liters to gallons.

This is an interesting product with some pros and cons that I didn't really think about until I used it.
Pro:
- Portability. Packs down fairly small, does a reasonable job re-packing into its integrated case, really well thought-out, good for carrying along on a trip if you think you're going to acquire things and you may need another bag to carry it home.
- Features. Useful zipper compartment on the front, and padded handles! A must.
- Nylon. You can feel that this is a nice-quality poly ripstop and I think it will wear well.
Con:
- Weight-distribution. I realized that on most of the duffels I carry, I am used to having a flat, stiff bottom to provide a little bit of tension to the bag. This one does not and it does sag in the middle when there is weight.
- Looks. Also, because it's crumpled up when it's packed back into itself, it will look like a crinkly, wrinkly mess, so just know that you're not making any fashion statements. I know it looks smooth on the website, but they have it packed to the gills.
Would I choose this again if I needed a duffel? Yes, though if it is day-to-day use, I'd prefer one with a reinforced bottom panel (unless I was planning on stuffing it to the gills, in which case, this one would be fine).

The material for this bag is lightweight and strong, which is the entire point of the bag.
There's a single big compartment. There's a zippered pocket on the outside. Then at one end there is a smaller compartment. The whole bag will fit into that smaller compartment if you turn it inside out. This allows you to carry the duffel bag in your luggage or car for when you need it.
This bag will also work as lightweight luggage on a plane. Or in any other kind of vehicle, too.
Much of the hardware is plastic. I'd have chosen metal, but maybe this is key for the lightness of the bag. It all seems tough and sturdy, The bag is waterproof, and the base is I think nylon.
It's a sporty bag for adventurous travel or everyday adventures.

MATERIAL
Rugged and durable cross-stitched fabric. The handles and shoulder strap all feel very strong. The padding is sewn very well and has a nice plush feel to it. The zippers are well built (which is my opinion, is one of the most important features on a duffel bag - once the zipper bends or breaks, the bad is done). I don't see these zippers having problems anytime soon.
SIZE
This bag is 12" diameter by 24" length. It is considered a 45L volume bag. It would be great for a day bag, for overnight or weekend stays, and the like.
Overall, I have not had a chance to put this bag to the test and take it on a trip, but it seems great so far! However, I will report back if I encounter any issues! Check out the pics.
Quick Synopsis: What a nice bag!! I've always been a sucker for High Sierra products. Great quality with that sleek, minimalist design.
