This bag appears to be high quality though I have not used it extensively yet. There is padding on the straps and all down the back part, so that it does not become to uncomfortable with weight. I am a student and plan to use this for all my books and my laptop. On most days I have to carry three 1 1/2 inch binders and various folders, books, and notebooks. This backpack fits them all easily. It's very long, so I can put my pencil case and/or any extra clothes I have to carry on top of my books. I looked at the seams and they seemed tight, well sewn, and durable. I ordered the patterned gray and it is modest, tasteful, and sort of purplish. I purchased my this for my 7th grader to use. She was thrilled with the look, the number of pockets and the comfort. We got it two days ago (the day before school started). The same day it came, she picked it up by the black handle on the top and one side ripped right out of the bag. She didn’t even have books in it yet - just a binder and a few folders. She was so bummed. She wanted to use It for her first day of school so I hand sewed it back on. She took it to school today (used it for one day!!) and the straps began to pull away from the stitching. We are both so disappointed. She can’t even use it. Not at all what I expected from Adidas.
