Use a 5’ x 8’ rectangular rug in smaller dining areas with a table and 4 – 6 chairs. Designer Tip: Make sure that the edge of the dining table is a minimum of 2 feet away from the edge of your area rug. I took a chance as I saw only a single review, but I am pleased. I am a 70-year-old female with arthritic hands who uses a walker, but I had no trouble putting this together, though it took me longer than the average person would take. Table and stools are sturdy and the finish is beautiful--no flaws anywhere. I did discover while assembling the stools, you should not bolt all four legs before adding the crossbars as there's not enough give to fit them into the slots. I bolted two legs diagonally, fitted the crossbars, then bolted the remaining two legs. The only tool not provided is a Phillips screwdriver needed for the recessed wood screws on the crossbars giving them extra sturdiness.
