These pencils are pretty sturdy. I liked the fact that the set comes with regular and colored leads. The leads are also much thicker than any mechanical pencils I’ve had in the past. Those other ones seem so skinny and the leads snap easily. I have two students in the house so these will definitely hold up well.

Just got this set. First and foremost there is a lot of stuff for the price. The leads all arrived in one piece. No broken leads which was a relief. There is no hardness indication on the lead package but the description claims 2b so I will have to trust that. Each pencil was preloaded with a lead. Not sure if this is 2b lead. Seemed closer to hb. I know some leads are darker than others but these dont seem as dark as other 2b leads i use. That being said the lead is smooth and consistent. Im pleased with the colored leads. They are as good as any other colored lead I have used. The pencils are cheap. Mostly plastic. The clutch is plastic and only 2 jaws. The grip is a bit small for me but is triangular and comfortable. The barrel is plastic with a rubbery coating. Clip is metal and removable. Knock knob doubles as a lead pointer. Be sure to have a something handy to dump the lead shavings into. They will make a huge mess. All in all the pencils are not amazing but the do work and at the price i would say they offer a fair deal. One is going into the woodshop to see how it holds up to the abuse. Everything was made in China so really better than I expected. I do have some Japanese 2.0mm pencils coming so even if these dont live up to expectations at least the leads will go to good use.

The pencils are good and the free pencil bag they send them in is a cool bonus. But the container that hold the lead needs a big update or someone needs to reimagine it. Both color and regular lead containers broke open from the top and fell out. And both of the leads were useless because they had broke.
