This is perfect for what I was looking for. Although it is not portable, it is compatible with an I-POD (mine is a GEN 7). Plenty of bass and treble / midrange.NOTE: The I-POD must be synced with the unit in order for it to be recognized! The bass and High / Mid are adjustable with the remote that comes with the unit. The LED lighting is cool, but I did not purchase it because of a "light show". It showed up at my door much earlier then expected and in excellent condition. No busted shipping box and the actual box was in 100% great condition. (WORKED RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX). Again this is not portable, what I mean by that is; no batteries, not rechargeable. It is a plug in. The unit is small enough to move from room to room if you want though. If this fits what you're looking for it is a great deal.

I bought this speaker for my gym and was hoping for lots of volume and bass I could feel. I was blown away at how loud it got and the quality of sound remained. Plenty of bottom end while still keeping the highs. I actually had to turn it down to hear my wife screaming something at me. Amazed at this speaker! I hope it lasts.

for those who just want decent speakers these are great for you, for me I thought this would have more audio settings than what it does and if you don't like the sound right out of the box its hard to change. no good audio tweaking for picky people like I am lol. They allowed me to get a refund and they were nice about it.

This speaker has really good sound and I enjoyed it the entire time it was functional. HOWEVER, last week it decided that bluetooth was a feature it no longer wished to provide. While I can connect to it all I hear is static (which, oddly is actually music when using any other speaker) unless I turn off all the bluetooth peripherals hooked up to my computer. They all lived in harmony until a week ago when this speaker woke up one morning and just said NO! I am now stuck with a rather gigantic door stop with a built-in led light show. It didn't even last 6 months, what a piece of junk. Beware, beware!

Update:

The warranty department of this company will only interact via email (they give you a phone number, when they answer you are told to send an email). If you are lucky enough to get an email response (which takes several days..they did not respond at all to the first email) they will tell you the problem is most likely your own fault, that you don't know how bluetooth works. It looks like they will not honor the warranty at this point. I am disgusted with this company.
