The Audio 2000s AST425Y TV tripod is absolutely heavy duty and well designed, and I am thoroughly impressed with it. So, why not five stars? Two reasons ..1) While screws are provided to mount the plate to the rear of the TV, none were a large enough diameter for my 32" Samsung. Fortunately I had screws left over from previous TV wall mounts and I was actually able to find them. Reason .. 2) The tilting assembly that sits on top of the tripod and connects to the plate on the rear of the TV was assembled upside down. Mounting it as shipped would have resulted in the TV crashing to the floor. A practical joke maybe? An assembly person having a bad day? Not so funny. Be sure that the stop bracket (see photo with pencil) is at the bottom of the tilt assembly and not at the top. Otherwise the only thing holding the TV in place is the small thumb screw and it ain't gonna hold it.The tilt assembly sits on top of the tripod and can be rotated, lifted off or locked in place. Loosen the tilt bracket thumb screw and the TV lifts right off the tripod with only the mounting plate still attached. Very thoughtful design.

This is the third TV stand I've bought and this is by far the best. I bring this stand and 32" TV to trade shows for display. My first one wasn't tall enough. My second one used a mounting system that caused the TV to hang crooked because I mount my TV vertically in portrait orientation. The VESA mounts on the back of TVs are centered when you hang them horizontally, but usually not when you hang them vertically (tall) as I do. So if the mounting system of the quick release plate isn't designed well, the TV will always hang lower on one side. The quick mount plate on the Audio 2000s AST425Y attaches really easily to the stand and is designed so that the TV will always hang level. No chance of it sagging or leaning. Really well made apparatus.

This is a solid piece of hardware with a minor weakness. The tripod is really nice and beefy (mine had a little paint coming off in one spot, no big deal), and the bracket that holds the TV seems well built. The weakness which looses it a star though is the tilt lock mechanism which is hard to tighten. The knobs are small, and its designed in such a way that you really have to crank the knobs to secure the TV at whatever angle you want it at (usually perpendicular to the ground). If it's not tight enough the TV will slowly sag downward. The TV is held securely the whole time mind you and isn't going to fall, it's just that the angle lock could be better. Then again the price is extremely reasonable for such a useful piece of hardware. Note that as another reviewer mentioned, make sure you have the bracket that attaches to the stand oriented correctly so that the pin is on the lower side. This ensures that the TV half of the bracket can not slip out. Decent product though.

This is perfect to hang my 24” monitor in front of a treadmill, but keep it portable for moving around in front of a bicycle or other equipment. Seems sturdy enough to take larger monitors too, if I upgrade in the future. Other media stands (often with wheels) I looked at didn’t have the ability to extend up to 6 feet+, which is necessary if you want to put the screen in position above a treadmill that has a large console, and which elevates your feet 6-12 inches off the ground. Would buy again...

iI order it to use at a karaoke event product is very sturdy however the mounting plate was for a different model stand and would not mate with quick release wrote note to this effect on return request and wanted another now it did ship very quick but the second on had same problem which made stand useless. I think it would have been a great stand the vender was quick to send back on both items bluehorsetwo

I love this. Used it to mount a 20 inch tv so I could use in front of treadmill and avoid putting holes in the wall for a wall mount. Came with lots of different hardware. Sturdy. Easy to assembly (which is good because I didn't see instructions).
