Better Than A Boom Box

I was looking for a speaker to play my music flash drives. I have found one that works great. The music that comes out of the speaker is amazing. It works of my 8G Flash drive and it also plays songs off of the larger flash drive I bought too. That flash drive would not play in my car but every song plays on this speaker. The radio did not work in the house but I will try it in outdoors when I go on vacation. The only down side is getting used to adjusting the volume. To move from one track or song you press the buttons that face east and west. To adjust the sound you must press and hold the east and west buttons. I believe pressing and holding the west button will lower the sound and pressing and holding the east button with increase the sound. I can see the where you can attach it to your MP3 and/or add a SD card. Lots to learn but overall I am more than satisfied with my purchase. The price was very reasonable and it would make a great give for someone who does have a home stereo. Upload your music to a flash drive and the party will begin. And yes, I would buy it again.

Absolutely love also bought the smaller rectangular one. They are supposed to connect together and play same music in sync together I have yet to figure out how to. But I also have not had the time or patience lately to really read and understand. I think I will call company and ask to be walked through with it. Got this for FM radio at the drive in. Works great but problem is that when you change it to FM Radio mode, the volume is always maxed out. So you turn it on and it blasts really loud whatever channel it happens to be on. The tuning is another problem since there is no dial or indicator as to which channel you are on. I understand many may just use it as a portable speaker but if you want to use the FM radio function it is a little difficult to get volume and channel set. After that the sound is great.

This is a very loud speaker - granted I use it for playing videos during office presentations, but it is plenty loud (too loud even at it's max), so I can't say what it would be like in a party setting, but I'd have to think that in a house, basement, or on a deck, it should be loud enough. Bluetooth connection was simple - just turn it on and have your device search for it - as soon as Pyle pops up on your device connect and you're good to go. The volume control is a little hard to get used to - it either jumps all the way up or all the way down. I've found it's best to set your device at maybe 80% then control the volume with the speaker. All in all, for the price, it's a great deal.

Decent overall - but there are some design issues

Overall, it's decent and I'm happy enough with it. It's got some good volume and the Bluetooth works fine.
The FM radio receives well and has good sound but here's where the issues lie. There's no way to know what station (frequency) you're tuned to. You basically have to just figure it out based on what's playing. It's kind of a pain the butt. It seems like they could have added a small, simple display of some sort. The other issue is the volume when you first select the radio mode. It defaults to the highest setting which means that you're going to get blasted in the face until you can get it turned down. Again, a pain in the butt that doesn't need to be that way. At the highest setting, by the way, it's too much for the speaker so all you get is distortion - there's no reason for it to default to the highest setting.

The controls are not exactly intuitive. You need to read the instructions. I don't mind reading, but I feel like I shouldn't really need to in order to operate a radio.

Overall, I like it but the design flaws I've mentioned knock it down to 3 stars.

If you like being able to turn up music to the point where it just becomes noise, then this Portable Bluetooth Speaker is for you! 😉 It does get pretty loud for a little speaker, but don't be surprised if people around you demand that you to turn it down because it sounds like crap to them.

There's no clean highs at all, and the mids sound like they're being played about of a cardboard box. And bass? What bass? If you put it up against a wall it might make a thumping noise but that's about the best you'll get. 🤨

I hate to say that I don't like this product because I do have some older Pyle equipment that I do like very much for overall quality and durability.

If you appreciate music like I do - even on the go - don't waste your time ordering this unit; you'll be nothing but disappointed. ☹️

Only issue I have is the volume control is also to forward your playlist, but not a real issue. For the price and quality, you can't go wrong with this purchase. Have Pyle outdoor speakers as well.
