Product Description
Everything you need to optimize your darting experience is now available in a convenient, comprehensive bundle. Choose either just the premium dartboard cabinet or a bundled set which contains the same dartboard cabinet and a sisal/bristle staple-free bullseye dartboard. Each cabinet includes a dry erase scoreboard, out-chart board, dry erase marker and mounting hardware. The Viper Metropolitan dartboard cabinet features a black felt lining and is available in 4 wood finishes (cinnamon, espresso, mahogany and oak). Crafted with solid pine, box joints and bronze hinges, this cabinet's quality construction provides lasting durability and complements the look of any room. It's fitted with 2 compact door stoppers which help protect the dartboard and cabinet from a door slamming shut. Open dimensions: 42" L x 27.5" W x 3.5" D; closed dimensions: 21" L x 27.5" W x 3.5" D. Measuring 18" in diameter, which is official tournament size, each dartboard features a staple-free bullseye which greatly reduces bounce outs. It's constructed from self-healing sisal/bristle fibers compressed together, providing unsurpassed durability. A movable number ring further extends the dartboard's life. All bundles (with the exception of just the cabinet only and the standard bundle) include 1 set of Viper Black Mariah 22 gram steel tip darts. They are designed with black coated brass barrels that deliver exceptional balance and styling. Strategically placed knurling and grooves provide excellent gripping points, enhancing your control. Each dart features an aluminum shaft featuring locking holes which deliver a tight connection that improves stability. The Elite bundle includes a Viper laser throw/toe line marker. The bright and energy efficient lighting of the laser allows it to be seen even in intense daylight. The adjustable laser throw/toe line provides a modern alternative to traditional adhesive floor markers. Once the laser is mounted, simply tighten the 2 screws on either side to ensure it stays in place, even if it is bumped.

Saw some reviews about doors not staying closed so order some magnetic catches but for now doors stay closed no problem without them. For the price it made a perfect gift and was fairly easy to mount, just watch that you don't slide it on wall while mounting as there are 2 screws for holding dart board mount that stick out the back of cabinet (covered them in tape before mounting it to wall,)
Had to drill 6 tiny pilot holes on the back of dart board for the screws that hold the 3 board levelers in place, don't think you will be able to run the tiny screws in without doing that.
We started playing as soon as it was mounted and had a blast.

2nd: the viper 1 1/2” thick dart board is high quality
3rd: the dart board background is a black foam material that will not show damage from misses.
4th: lots of storage space in the cabinet for darts and other materials.
5th: it comes nicely assembled.
6th: as you may expect, the included darts are for beginners which you may want to soon replace.
I added the GLD/Viper Shadow Buster Dartboard Illuminator, that is attached to the top of the cabinet. It works well offering bright LED lighting to the board. It is battery or wire powered and folds out of the way for when the cabinet is closed.
I feel this is a quality product
There is a sheet of paper with a template for mounting the cabinet, but I didn’t use it. I just measured and marked where I wanted it. There are predrilled holes in each corner of the inside cabinet. So I just used a punch to poke thru where my first hole was going, drilled my hole, then put a bolt through thru the hole to hold the cabinet up. Went down to the opposite corner and did the same thing so I could have both corners installed. Be sure to use a level when you drill your second hole to insure your cabinet will be level. Then just drilled out the remaining two holes, and the cabinet was up.
There is a pre-installed board hangar already in place, so it was just a matter of putting the screw in the back of the board, and hanging it in the cabinet. You will need to experiment with how deep to put the screw in the get a tight fit in the cabinet. I was surprised at the weight of the board. It’s pretty heavy. More than the cabinet. Seems to be well made and durable. And I like the thin wires they used to mark off the sections of the board. The outer ring numbered part is separate and is held in place with plastic brackets so you can easily rotate the board if one section starts to have too much wear. But the way I throw, that’ll be awhile. I stink at it. Lol. There are also 3 plastic bumper thingies that go on the back of the board to stop it from wobbling on the board hangar. I found those didn’t work all that well but it was easy enough to slide a cardboard spacer behind to steady the board. No biggee.
I also added the Viper above board light, the battery powered version. I really recommend it as it lights up the board nicely, then flips up out of the way when you’re done playing. And it’s low cost.
I looked up the dart rules before I installed the cabinet, and it says the center of the bull is to be 68” from the floor, so that’s how high I hung it. Then the throwing line (ochre) is about 7’9” from the board. So allow for room where you hang it. I was surprised they hang the board so high truthfully.
Now, I soon discovered that 68” really puts the board up high. I am 5’10” tall, so the center bull was about eye level to me. The double 20 on the board even higher. So I was throwing up hill so to speak. Even worse for my wife, who’s shorter than I. Being a beginner, my accuracy is bad enough, but having it that high up, didn’t help at all. Since I’m not going to be in a league or going pro anytime soon, and just play for fun, I moved the cabinet down to make it more enjoyable to use for me. If you are going to go with the 68”, maybe put a piece of tape or something up to mark where your center will be. It’s higher than you think. So if you are just using it in your game room for fun, you may want to mount it lower. Just saying.
So after all that, I’d recommend this setup quite readily. Now, an experienced darts person is likely to spend more for a cooler setup, but for the average guy playing for fun, this is all you need I think.
