Pros: this speaker is incredibly loud and clear. Bluetooth connection is seamless and doesn't disconnect even when fully submerged. Durable, completely waterproof, and it floats! It even doubles as a power bank in case your device runs low while you're away from civilization.

Cons: my one complaint is the audio distortion at max volume. However, I'm no audiophile and this doesn't bother me enough to deduct a star. I just turn it down one or two clicks and that solves the problem.

Overall, this speaker kicks butt and I would highly recommend this speaker to any and all who need a durable Bluetooth audio solution.

The black one seems to get really hot and turns off randomly in direct sunlight. it's black metal, so put it in the shade. can't turn off bluetooth mode so its drawing power even when using the cable. Probably the port covers are a weak spot for water getting in, although they are tight. It's expensive and won't last, but faced with months, or even a few weeks of lockdown it's probably worth it.

Sound is pretty darn good for the size and weight, it seems overpowered (it gets pretty loud and distorts, not much bass) but at -50% volume the sound is really clear, and you can hear the bass in the mix.
The 360 degree sound is definitely way better than a tiny box or tube. It's not very packable but luckily it rides perfectly in the headlamp pocket of my backpack which is a a massive plus. The aux cable input is high quality and doesn't buzz like the cheaper ones. Battery life is good. I wouldn't plan A use it to charge a phone, but it's great for some low drain USB LED mood lighting

Well, I'm bummed. We were so excited to use this in our pool and not have to get out every time we wanted to change the volume or skip a song. I bought this mid-May, within two months it is no longer working. Our two main issues with the product:

1) It is supposed to be so durable and withstand anything, but nothing that we know of happened to ours and now it won't charge effectively making it a very expensive paper weight. We tried emailing their support team and got no response. We will have to try to call but their hours aren't matching with our available times being west coast.

2) When water gets on the top of the speaker, the sound quality gets terrible until it drys. That is fine for nice lazy days in the pool, but we have two little kids who splash all around so water is constantly getting on the top. We can't leave it on the side of the pool for fear of it overheating in the Phoenix summer heat.

I did love the sound integrity of the music plus the volume level was good (Just as good as a bigger speaker, I have ). When I found out the Turtles paired with each other, I got another one. Their smaller size and lightweight make them very portable. Used them at a baby shower at opposite sides of the room, worked great! Love them!

After owning the 2.0 for 2 years, I was looking forward to an upgrade for the summer 2017 festival season. All in all, I have been very underwhelmed with the performance of their new iteration.

Pros:
-Multiple 3.0's can now be daisy chained (not with an older versions though)
-Can now float on water (2.0 was just water proof)
-Generally louder than the 2.0
-Great battery life

Cons
-Port covers have already come of the speaker (did not happen with the 2.0)
-Increasing volume form 75% to 100% has little to no effect
-Does not always charge when plugged in
-Dirt/Sand gets trapped inside the speaker very easily
-Bass is distorted at any volume above 50%
-Bluetooth connection is extremely unreliable, keeps disconnecting , especially in comparison to the 2.0 which has great range

Overall I DO NOT recommend the 3.0. But I would happily recommend the 2.0 even though it is a smaller and quieter speaker.

I had considered buying the Large Turtle Shell speaker but am now unlikely to.
