I LOVE these shoes. Just received my 3rd pair. I am on my feet all day at work and they are comfortable and stylish. On previous pairs I have put in an insert with more of an arch, but love the cushyness of the sole that comes with the shoe. (A definite plus is that it is removable so that I can wear it with an insert if I want to without making the shoe too tight.) One drawback is that the price has gone up considerably since I bought my first pair 4 years ago.

I've had a navy pair for a couple of years and jumped at the chance to add a black pair at a great price. I've only worn these once, so I expect similar performance:

--The velcro does loosen fairly quicky. I recently took my original pair to the shoe shop to "fix" the velcro issue on one of my shoes. The other shoe is fine.
--The removable insoles allow for customization/personal inserts
--The shoes are comfortable for all day wear/ a lot of walking

Two sides to every shoe story

The bad: I wore them without socks and the velcro strap tore a spot on my instep.
I will keep them for work but will wear tights or socks once my foot heals.

I have major foot problems. I also cannot go to stores to try on shoes. It is very hard ordering shoes when you can't try them on. I order from reviews. One of the reviewers said that they do not allow returns at Peltz. So I called the company. The lady was very nice. She said, "Of course we take returns". We only ask that you wear them indoors and not outside to dirty them. Great. I ordered them. I was very excited when they came. The only shoes my feet will tolerate are some heavy men's Croc sandals and they do not work when I wear a dress.
I took the left shoe out and tried it on my worst foot. The pain was so bad I never even put my foot on the floor. I put the stuffing and wooden dowel back on it to have to return them. They had a return label glued to the edge of the shoe box. As I tried to carefully remove it to use it, it was so sticky that it ripped the stamp part and stuck to its self. Now what? So I called Amazon and told them what had happened. The rep said they would contact the seller to send me another return label.
They did send me a new label with an email. Saying that if the order was through Amazon, and the order number had the letter Z, It would have been free but since it wasn't, they would be keeping $6.00 for the return. I'm not sure if they were saying I didn't order through Amazon (Since there was no Z and the Amazon rep had been the one to contact them for a new label). Or, the first lady I spoke to on the phone just lied to me. Either way, they are not a company that I would trust to purchase anything from. Ever.
After calling 4 different Amazon Reps, and the call I made to Peltz shoes before I ordered the shoes and the 2 emails telling me they will be deducting $6.00, I am tired of even thinking of them any more. It is really a shame. Using 3rd party sellers gives Amazon more inventory and helps the seller to get many new customers by selling on Amazon. They have messed up with me. I have been looking online for months and I thought I was finally going to have decent shoes that do not make me unstable while walking. Not only did they hurt me, but the heel was also so big, they would have never stayed on my feet. I had ordered a size 12. If you wear huge shoes size 12, they do have size 12's but you might want to try one size down and I will continue the hunt. I guess I will have to find something with stretch over the whole top of my feet. I am very disappointed with Peltz. My advice to you, JC Penny was having a clearance sale with the same shoes and many different Clark styles. I ordered these through Amazon because I know I will not have a problem if they do not work.

I purchased this shoe to wear without socks or with a very thin sock, that is, when I did not want to wear heavy socks and shoes or boots, and they are just right. I chose the same size I wear in other well-fitting Clarks shoes and these shoes are a good fit too. The insole is very soft. I have not worn them for a day of walking so cannot speak to how comfortable they would be under those circumstances, but indoors, up and down stairs, on my feet in the kitchen, they are very comfortable.
