I LOVED this when I first got it. 5 stars when it first arrived. It came with tootsie rolls in the package, how cool is that. I loved that I could discretely take calls at work from the nursing supervisor or other units, even while in patient rooms. I work as charge nurse 99% of the time when I work so I knew I had to have this headset.
I ran into something that I didn't notice until the other night. Evidently when I get a call it doesn't just go into my earpiece, it goes over my little vocera's speaker. I hope this makes sense. Our voceras are now hooked up to the call bell system so when a call light is pushed or bathroom cord is pulled my vocera advises me both in my ear and overhead. I thought my vocera was broken. So, my coworkers and I tested this theory. With the piece in my ear one of my coworkers called me from her vocera while another nurse sat near me to see what exactly she heard. She heard "accept call from XXXXX", but after I accepted the call she didn't hear any of the conversation. I don't know if this is the way it's supposed to work, because I just noticed it the other day, or if my headset has a short in it.
I’ve been using this since March 2017. It’s now the end of Jan 2018. Tonight it stopped working. The wires became frayed. I’ll order a few more because for the price they are definitely worth getting. No worries about patient privacy with this!
It’s now October and my second vocera has been going strong for ten months!!!!! I love it! Can’t say enough about it. I love it so much I bought one for one of our nursing supervisors. They have to be extra discreet with their calls. Just becareful in your care of it! Make sure you use the magnetic part to hold the ear piece. My first one became raggedy because I didn’t!

I was able to rig this to fit the 3000 model and I LOVE it. It’s a little tricky to clip the battery in at first but well worth it.
