    bought two sets. spent two days installing them and a 400w pyle amp. amp wouldnt power up right out of the box, tried powering up the lights on the speakers and only one of four worked. what a pile. i do have to say that they sounded pretty darn good hooked directly to the stereo. feeling like clark griswold with the lights though, very disappointing! and yes, i do have experience with low voltage led rgb lighting, i work with lighting in major fountains every day.

    Update: Got a new set shipped out to me promptly, problem was with the push button controller, one channel was burnt out, all up and running, now, speakers sound great, lots of volume compared to the 6's I had before, clear, nice bass, lights are cool, can't wait to do a night fishing trip now. upgraded the stars based on the quick fix and sound of the speakers.

    I installed these on my 13' Boston Whaler center console with a rockville head unit.
    I usually go all out in my trucks and install nice sound systems because I spend enough time in them where I think it's important. I went cheaper on my dinghy because it's going to be near salt and water. The sound out of them is not great but it's loud enough for what I want. They're not the worst quality but don't expect 4 channel sound out of them. They don't sound crisp like you would hear with a nice speaker but I needed waterproof and wanted cheap and that's what I got.
