This isn't a top of the line guard as far as construction but it fit my 2013 frontier. You have to remove the tow hook and cut a hole in the other side of your splash guard where the other tow hook would be. One issue is that it would be sturdier if they made frontier brackets to mount to the top, only Xterras have this option. Another issue is that some of the hardware is painted and some isn't. The 6 bolts, nuts, and washers that mount the guard to the brackets are not painted and stand out. The painted bolts also chip and scratch easily when assembling. I will definitely need to repaint some areas and probably have to retorque every so often due to the shaking caused by not being top mounted. Maybe I will be able to find a way to top mount.

Along with the new running boards, He loved how "sexy" and more "masculine" his truck now looks [will add pics].

The unit itself is alright. Getting the thing installed was a serious chore. The only thing you get is a single sheet of instructions that was apparently drawn by a special-needs 3rd grader from China. I wish I had kept it so I could post it. It showed an exploded diagram of the grill guard that only indicated that bolts when in locations. Not which bolts went where, and no, the bolts are not the same size. You have to count bolts, compare to the "drawing" and figure it out.
Having put it on, it looks okay to the casual eye. However, on closer inspection, you (or I did, anyhow) notice that the guard isn't level. I had to loosen one side and put in shims to level it. It was off by about an inch. Lastly, and both my wife and I noticed this, there seems to be an excessive amount of horizontal shimmy and shake. And yes, it was there before I put in the shims to level it.
So after McGyvering in the install, having to re-level it and just having to deal with the shimmy- 3 stars. We have a ton of suicidal deer here and I have no doubt the grill guard will be tested. I'll update my review when that happens and let you know how it stands up to Bambi.

Came with one diagram of how to tighten the wings with a shim. I had to trail and error the whole thing, counting bolts and holes. I have more supports to install but no clue on how to get them on. Major quality control fail. Shakes a lot when I drive, paint chipping off from the bolts from all the on and off I had to do.
