Disappointing, for several reasons:1. Vocals are kind of muddy; sounds like the speaker is playing from inside of a cardboard box (as if the speaker was put in a box & then put on play...weird-sounding like that, like it's a bit boxed in).2. Nearly zero bass. I'm really surprised at how little bass there is; I've built Sonosubs before (subwoofers in tubes) & would have thought it would have had at least SOME bass or mid-bass in this. Nope. Stuff that's a bit more acoustic like George Ezra's "Budapest" sounds pretty good, but throwing on something like Soulja Boy is pretty disappointing. All that volume & no thump :(3. Doesn't get nearly as loud as I'd like. I was hoping to use this for outdoor movies with a mini LED Android projector, but the volume combined with the lack of bass is just disappointing. My little palm-sized Bluetooth speakers are nearly as loud as this is. I think part of the problem is that there's a speaker on each end, so you don't really get the full effect of a left & right speaker if you place it horizontally (the manual shows it in both horizontal & vertical configurations, with the vertical pointing the control button side up). I've found it actually sounds better standing up vertical in kind of an omni-speaker setup - not to compare it to a high-end Linkwitz, but kind of the same idea where it can at least disperse the sound a bit better. Oddly enough, it sounds best with the control button side down - gives it a throatier sound (especially for male voices, like Hozier's "Take me to church"), which actually points the drivers down & the "sub" up.On the plus side...it does work, it's a cool design (feels fairly durable!), and the price is pretty decent. However, I prefer my other Bluetooth speakers. In all honesty, I like my Soundbot better than this (at less than half the price, plus you can use it in the shower or pool!), if you're not concerned with bass...the treble is clearer in the Soundbot. I was hoping this would be like a portable Bazooka-style speaker, lots of fun with some bass hits. The thing is, for ten bucks cheaper, you can get an Mpow Boombag...which is the size of your hand rather than the size of a roll of paper towels but sounds WAY better and actually has some BASS thump! I'm surprised at how much I didn't care for this given the 4-star rating out of 180 reviews...so many better options (audibly better!) out there for less money.I included a picture of it next to a half-used roll of paper towels. It's a bit shorter, but about the same size around as a full roll of paper towels, for size reference.

This is a great little piece of equipment. As others have stated the mid range, in the 250k range is a little high but nothing a newer smart phone can't EQ. I am a audiophile and do have a Sunfire home system, while this is nothing even close to the HI fidelity of the Sunfire, it is a fraction of the cost.
Went to one of the Big chain stores to look at several options for a media player that sounded good and was fit for camping adventures. The only thing that sounded halfway decent was a Bose system, but alas, the price was not justified. Looked at several other units and all where in the 125-300 dollar range and to be honest they did not sound any better than my Ihome tiny magnetic speakers.
I found this little guy here on amazon and took a chance on it, glad I did. For all the nay sayers on this unit, consider that you get SD card, USB port, Radio, Bluetooth, AUX in and decent sound with ample volume in the 30ish dollar range. Ha! and it survived riding on the ATV!
ONLY complaint is that blinking spotlight when connected, could stand to be a bit dimmer than a lighthouse :)
    Enjoy Life!

Are you kidding me?! Such huge sound out of a small package for this price! Of course its not a $500 speaker but for this price the sound is just staggering. It easily fills a large room and the bass is wonderful. At the highest volume on only some songs I tested (with very heavy bass) did I hear distortion that is audible to me because I was looking for it ... maybe not to others though. Its very simple and easy to use without all the "fancy" stuff .. but damn worth the money in my opinion. I am pretty hard to please and if I hear garbage I will say so. This is not that. Again.. do you want Bose quality for a cheap price? .. you wont get it here .. but you will get a very good (and loud) speaker that will do you great without spending a ton of cash.

    Pros:
    Deep Bass
    Clear treble and mid-range
    Great Price
    Loud
Extras like FM radio and charging

    Cons:
Distortion on bass at very high levels

Im happy with the purchase and its good to go for outside as well.

Love this unit. I use it at work for music and the fidelity is surprisingly good, certainly for the price. I also used it to provide audio-out from my computer while presenting a Power Point to about 25 people. It gets plenty loud, with no distortion issues. I haven't played music at full volume yet, but so far it sounds awesome. The only issue I have (which may or may not be related to the speaker) is that, upon start-up, it will automatically sync with my phone in shuffle mode (which I LOATHE more than I can say!) It seems to be resolved by going into my phone settings and disconnecting, so I can hardly fault the speaker. It's just something to be aware of. All in all, this is a fantastic and very versitile speaker, and at around $30, it can't be beat!

Okay, I just got this yesterday and it is the BEST thirty-some bucks I have ever spent! The speaker is amazing, It is super easy to use and even has a cable to hook up directly to older devices, on top of being bluetooth capable. It even has FM Radio. The sound is amazing, it is really loud and can get even louder using your mobile device or ipod/mp3. The adjustable carrying strap is really handy, too. It looks cool......though kinda like a bomb (I wouldn't dare walk into a bank, airport or city hall with it). lol!! You can insert an SD card to it as well! It is really great, especially for the money. Something like this should be well over $50 and closer to $100, but I'm glad it's more affordable. It is solid, but lightweight, not TOO light, but looks really heavy and doesn't feel cheap, at all. I definitely recommend this little gem.

Reviewed in Mexico on January 4, 2018
