I bought this to send with my son to college. He loves it. It is portable with rechargeable battery and built in speakers that sound great, plus when he is at home he connects the audio out to his larger home receiver. It makes a perfect addition to his entertainment center and gives him Bluetooth capabilities that it did not have before. The Bluetooth has a really good range, I would guess about 30 feet. It will stream Pandora and play the entire collection of mp3s from his cell phone. Before my son took it off to college I was able to dig out my old record collection and convert my favorite vinyl to mp3. The digital files still have that vinyl fullness and richness sound. I was curious so I got out my old Walkman cassette player and plugged an audio cord from the headphone out to the aux in. I was able to turn my old cassettes into mp3 as well. AM/FM reception is fine with he extendable antenna in the rear. You definitely need to unwrap the antenna to pick up any stations. This is a great unit in fact I am going to buy Pyle PVNP30BT Bluetooth Classic Style Record Player with the old fashion horn design for mom and dad's dining room. I will keep you updated on that purchase as well.

I bought this for the use of the turntable. I couldn't find many reviews of the product, but those that I did find said it worked great. This model has a radio and recording device along with the phono, aux input, and USB capabilities. It has everything I wanted, and for a reasonable price. I could have spent less money on a record player and expected cheap quality, but this model seemed to be in the lower-middle range, so I thought it'd be just fine. Out of the box, it was just fine. the silver plastic on the front is cheapish and some of the edges of the plastic buttons were not flush. No big deal. It sounded great, especially when hooked up to my speakers. I used the turn table every day for six days. It stayed unmoved on my bookshelf, only ever gently handled if necessary. Then all of a sudden, every record is played with a wobbly distorted vibrato in the sound, which completely wrecks the entire listening experience. I hope my order was just a lemon, but I have to caution anyone who's looking at this turntable and other turntables... Don't just hope to get lucky. That's what I did, and this piece of crap didn't even last a week.

Now I have a $120 am/fm radio that I have to listen to through aux speakers...

I got this player because it has alot of usefull features. Such as a record player turntable,works beautifully. An inputs for whatever you want to hook up. Am fm radio, Bluetooth reciver, and a front loading usb thumb drive socket for playing mp3 files and for, RECORD. UPDATE The Bluetooth feature keeps cutting off after about 5-10 mins wile playing streams. Bummer!

My mom got this record player for me for my 30th birthday along with her old record collection. I was super excited to play some of the old vintage records I was gifted, but on the first couple of records I realized that it would only play the first song (with decent quality), and then had a hard time transitioning to any subsequent songs. The needle/tone-arm seem to be of very cheap quality and I was disappointed with the overall experience. I was sad to go from such a high of excitement to play some of these old records, to the low of it not working after the first song. I agree with the other reviewer, that now I have an expensive radio with cheap, plastic knobs. The speakers on this thing are also not very great. I would compare them to a good cellphone sound, or the sound that the old-fashioned alarm clock radios sounded like. I see that there is a 1-year warranty, so I am sad to say I will have to venture down that path and waste my time trying to see how helpful customer service is.

Purchased this record player for my daughter for Christmas after researching so many various models that my head was spinning :) Decided on this Pyle model due to the vintage look, fact that you could stream from your phone or other Bluetooth device to the record player, convert vinyls to MP3 files, and hook up external speakers to this model.

My daughter has been using it for three weeks now without any additional external speakers attached and has been extremely pleased with the sound quality. Granted, she's playing vinyls in her 10' x 11' bedroom, but it sounds great. I'm sure we will attach speakers at some point to see if she likes the extra volume, etc. However at this point, she is beyond pleased with this record player which makes me a happy mom!
