A: The Pathway X1 antenna is exclusively compatible with Dish programming. The antenna can receive programming from Dish western arc, which includes satellites 110°, 119°, and 129°.

Q: Does the Pathway X1 antenna automatically toggle between satellites?

A: Yes. As you change the channel, the Pathway X1 antenna will automatically toggle to the corresponding satellite with no manual adjustments.

Q: Can I get HD service with the Pathway X1 antenna?

A: HD programming is available. Keep in mind that in order to receive HD programming, you must have an HDTV as well as an activated HD receiver with an HD programming package (sold separately).

Q: I have cable at home and do not want to switch or pay for satellite programming all year. What are my options?

A: Dish offers pay-as-you-go programming. There are no contracts and no commitments—simply pay for the months you would like satellite television service.

The Pathway X1 is a fully automatic portable satellite antenna and is easy for anyone to set up in just a few minutes. Take it out of the box, set it towards the south, hook up, search for the satellites and download guide. You will need the Dish receiver that is sold separately. Now you are ready to watch your favorite shows and movies. You will receive the exact programs that you have at home on Dish. It is the perfect addition on those rainy days when you can't get out and enjoy nature or catch up on the news before retiring to bed.We also purchased the stand to keep it off the ground and keep it stabilized. I would highly recommend purchasing this. When you are finished it is just as easy to disassemble. It stores nicely in our travel trailer.

This is the second winegard pathway x1 we have gotten. Works great until it gets run over. Ugh! Until then it worked great so we got the exact same one. I love that only 1 cable runs the dish. Do not need power and receiver cable to be strung outside, just the coaxial cable. set it out, hook it up, and it finds the satellites! Now we also mount it on the tripod so it is more visible. No more squished dish!

I'd give it 5 stars if it was an in motion tracking antenna and if it auto tuned after turning TV off for a day. You have to rerun the setup if the TV/receiver is off for a day.

Once it finds the satellite it has a great picture. It works much better than the KVH trackvision antenna it replaced.

The KVH never could find both satellites without an A/B switch & needed reprogramming all the time at $200 a pop. KVH finally turned into a $4k hood ornament when Dish stopped transmitting in analog. Winegard is 1/10 price and HD, so I can live with no in motion tracking & resetting the antenna after turning it off for more than a day.

Worked great until it got cloudy. First time we used it there was rain in the area but not over us. Just clouds, lost signal on two evenings with no rain just cloudy. Locked on fast and worked great until weather changed. On second day I broke out the dish 500 and aligned it when Whengard stopped working. No problem with larger dish even in rain. Bottom line dish works great as long as weather is perfect. I returned it for larger roof mounted version. 14" versus 20" should make enough difference when cloudy or light to medium rain.

Got the Pathway X1 because I was tired of fussing with the "Two wire Requirement" on my Carry-out G-2.
The X1 performs as advertised, sets up easily and if it has a clear shot of the three DishTV satellites locks in the HD signal immediately, if not sooner.
Full Disclosure: Still use my G-2 on a Winegard ladder mount for campgrounds with no trees blocking the satellites. X1 stows easily as a back-up when the G-2 is blocked and I need a portable dish for a clean shot between trees.
Fuller Disclosure: I am not an employee of Winegard but suffer from severe FNWS (Fox News Withdrawl Symptoms).
