The Pyle PLMRKT2B is a compact 2-Channel Marine Speaker System with amplifier designed for custom installation applications and makes it simple to expand the audio system capabilities for your vehicle - perfect for your boat, ATV or RV.

The Hydra Series Amplifier System is a great kit to start your marine audio system. It includes a 2-channel, 200-watt amplifier with tons of features, plus a pair of 6.5" 200-watt two-way speakers for rich, full-bodied audio. Also included are accessories to further enrich your marine audio experience, including remote volume control, 3.5mm stereo to RCA cable, and a waterproof poly bag for protecting your audio player from the elements.

Plug it in

This amplifier kit comes with a waterproof poly bag with 3.5mm jack so you can enjoy playing your favorite audio files from your iPod/MP3 player while keeping your device protected. The system includes RCA line inputs and the kit comes with a 3.5mm-to-RCA adaptor so you can connect your device through the poly bag. Additionally, you can also connect standard high and low level inputs from a marine head-unit or car stereo/radio.

Powerful 2- Channel Amplifier

The included amplifier provdes up to 200 watt MAX power at 4 ohms on each channel -- plenty of power to get the boat rocking. The amplifier is also equipped with an electronic crossover network, adjustable high/low level inputs, and stereo RCA line-level inputs. The wired remote control allows you to adjust the amplifier gain easily -- no need to get the screwdriver every time you want to raise or lower the volume. Plus, it mounts to your dash for a clean, professional look.

A Pair of Waterproof Marine Speakers

This kit includes a pair of 6.5" two-way marine speakers finished a pristine marine white -- the perfect addition to your boat's decor. Each speaker contains a high-quality polypropylene cone and 2" polymer cone tweeter for deep lows, rich mids, and sweet highs. With 200 watts of maximum power at 4 ohms, these speakers are perfectly matched with the included amplifier.

Fine-Tune Your Audio

The switches and gain settings are located behind a watertight plug, which also lights up when the amplifier is on. Customize your audio settings and make it sound just the way you want. Make adjustments to:

  • Input Level: Set the input sensitivity of the amp. If you are connecting to a LINE level source (typically an RCA type connection) then the switch should be in the LINE (out) position. When connecting to speaker outputs, headphone, or car radio sources then set the switch to the SPEAKER position.
  • Polarity: This switch allows the user to optimize bass performance in the case that there are more than 1 set of loudspeakers producing bass in the system. Play some music with strong bass content and listen with the switch alternately in the NORMAL and REVERSE position until it can be determined which settings results in more pleasing bass response.
  • Gain Control: Adjusts the overall level of the amplifier. When using the amp without volume control, the level should be set to achieve a balance with other loudspeakers in the system. As a rule, you should keep the gain settings as low as possible while still ensuring that the system will reach its full output power.
  • Volume Control: Plug for the waterproof remote volume control. When installed, this control will power off the amp when turned all the way down
  • RCA Stereo Input: Connect external audio devices like an iPod or just about any other MP3 player.

Built-in mounting brackets and included hardware allow for easy and convenient installation. Attach the amplifier to a compartment or panel with just a few screws.

We have a razor 800 and didn't want to pay an outrageous price for a top with a speaker system. We bought the basic clip on top and this and it works great. We had to play with the inside turn knob to increase the sound but we actually like it better than the top radios because we get to hold our ipod in our hand to change music easily. This is not loud enough to be the center of the party, but it is loud enough for us (me and my husband) to hear great while we are riding.

This amp is badly misrepresented in the description. Down in the product description section 3/4 the way down the page it states "Add up to 400 Watt Max power (200 watt power on each of the 2 channels)" which is notably lower than the "4 x 100 Watts RMS at 4 Ohms" it claims elsewhere in the description. The lower rating is actually still over stated for what you will get. Everything you need to know about this amp can be found by looking at the fuse they used; "Fuse: 10A." Using a handy physics equation for electromagnetism, Watts = Voltage x Amps, we can determine at what wattage output the 10A fuse will blow. Assume 14v battery voltage and the max rating of the fuse (10A), we find 14x10 =140 watts. Divide that into 4 channels and you will see that this amp can supply a MAXIMUM OF 35 WATTS PER CHANNEL before blowing the fuse. They say 'buyer beware' but this amp is so grossly overstated in specs that I think Amazon should pull the product all-together. DO NOT BUY THIS AMP expecting to get 100 watts RMS x4 at 4 ohms.

Very disappointed in this amp. First indicator was the 10A fuse...I'm no electrician, but if I remember correctly, amps x volts = watts, so 12-14v x 10a = 120-140w...not anywhere near the stated 400. My suspicions were confirmed after quickly hooking it in to my existing system. My kenny HU is rated to 4x50, and I get significantly higher volume running speakers directly off the HU than by introducing this amp to power the same speakers. Before anyone asks, yes, I adjusted the input and output gains on the amp. I suppose this amp could be worthwhile if being used in conjunction with an mp3 player to eliminate the need for a HU at all, however, because of the blatant lie in the description about it's power rating confirmed by the significantly quieter volume when compared to a reputable internal amp rated at half this amps proclaimed power, I give one star and suggest that the advertising be corrected to reflect the product's actual capability. I will note that, if advertised for what it actually is, this would be a good deal and I did not note an unacceptable level of distortion even at this amp's max power. So, as far as a 35x4 water resistant amp goes, this thing is great! But it's advertised as 100x4, which is nothing but a gross misrepresentation and will lead to significant disappointment by anyone who purchases it.

In fact it is probably wise that Amazon not even allow it to be sold through their site. The product work for about 15 minutes and then started blowing fuses. And has never worked again. The volume when attached to my iPod and With the volume set midway was slightly more audible than just holding head phones up in the air. Buyer beware. I should've gone with my instinct on this one after reading all the other reviews. I'm trying to think of something kind to say about this but I just can't find anything. Believe me one star is an overrating

I have had a very bad experience and can't get anything done about it. I waited to late to install and can't even send it back. Everyone is saying that they are not getting high output. I am only getting a chirp, and I bought it for a small application. Suck and Plye sucks right with it.
The bad part about all of this, Update: They gave me an address to send this back for repairs and it was the wrong address. I spent another $10 shipping it to them. I called and they hung up in my face because I refuse to spend another $10 shipping to a new address and demanded my money back. Then the tried the reverse cheat, they will waive the cost that I would pay to ship it back to me after repair.
I does not state anywhere that I had to pay shipping both ways, this just came out of the blue. Plye is a lie.

Was very disappointed with this amp. Installed it on my Kawasaki Teryx with 2 6.5 MCM Marine Speakers and you can barely hear it over the idling engine. Have friends that purchased the same speakers with a different 200 watt amp and the blast. This amp is pathetic. Needs to be removed from the market or improved drastically.

Returned for a replacement, Replacement got here within 2 days, Same problem with 2nd Pyle amp, It will not power up, have power at fuse block; but amp wont even light up.. Poor internals......

Save your money and do not buy!!!!!! This amp does not do what it says it does. I don't ever write reviews but this amp is a POS. It maybe puts out 25W per channel at most. Put this in my jeep to power some Polk DB691 6x9's which are great speakers, but you can only hear it if you are at a stop light. I bought this because there was some good reviews on it but seriously don't buy.

Ok, once we finally got it working it sounds great, but the wires in the speakers were faulty.
We thought at first that the amp was the problem, so we decided to order a new amp to try instead sending the entire product back. We got the new amp hooked it up and it was still not working.
Next we looked into the speakers. We had to change the speaker wires, and now it works just fine, but I definitely would NOT buy this brand again!

I had none of the problems others wrote here...I put these in a golf cart, running an iPod and they really sound great. The directions were quite clear, and if adjusted/installed properly, they are loud,fairly bassy (bassee??) and clear. I did not install the Gain knob, I just preset the gain on the amp(about3/4 turn or approx 7), and use the iPod for volume control. My neighbors are amazed at the sound, and so am I for the $$$. I could not be happier, and may make a small boombox out of an Ammo can with a small 12volt battery.

I hooked it up exactly as its supposed to be hooked up and the amp blew on the first time. The fuse was still good and there is something bad internally. I checked it with a test light to make sure everything was hooked up and even the mount screws showed hot. Don't buy this. It will just end up in the trash can as mine did. Ain't sure about the speakers because I didn't get to hear them. The only good thing I got out of this is the waterproof pouch for my iphone.
