I've had this product for several years now. Once you go packing folder its hard to travel any other way.

I've travelled through Europe for 30 days multiple times and thanks to this packing folder everything fit in a carry on.

PRO: you can squeeze in a lot of stuff. I've fit one sport coats, 3 slacks, 4 dress shirts, 4 polo shirts, 4 t shirts, and 2 pair of shorts within this packing folder.

CON: living the packing folder life means you can't live out of your suitcase. You must unpack everything and then re-pack. When you're travelling from place to place on a long trip this can be time consuming. Although once you get the hang of it you can pack quickly. Expect stuff to be wrinkled, so pack some wrinkle releasing spray.

We have used Eagle Creek Garment Folders for many years and wanted to get another medium-size one. This is even better than the ones we already have. They've improved the design and found a way to make them even lighter than their already featherweight older models.

What we love about these is that they do several things. They compact your clothing for travel, so that it takes up less space in your suitcase. We rarely like to travel with anything larger than a 22" roll-aboard for each or us and the garment folders help us do that. If you use the included template for folding, you'll be amazed how wrinkle-free your clothing will stay. You can use the template as a separator to access clothing in the middle without having to disturb the clothing above. In fact, we seldom unpack at all, letting our clean items remain in the garment folder.

If you are a frequent traveler, you'll love this product as much as we do. If you only travel infrequently, it will still make your travel experience much easier.

They come in three sizes: small, medium and large. We've found the medium to be the most versatile and useful.

There's a great website, onebag.com, which has great space-saving packing tips and this is one of them.

I have been using the standard packit cubes from eagle creek for years and decided to switch over to the specter line when I upgraded my travel backpack to the Opsrey farpoint 40. This folder is lighter than my older design and has some nice features and a quality feel. I especially like trim around the plastic folding insert, I think it adds to the finished look of this product. This cube is heavy when compared to other specter cubes but that is to be expected due to the needed rigidity. I typically use this style cube for dress pants and collared dress shirts when needed for business travel. I actually only need this cube for about 20% of my travel time. I can pack enough dress shirts and a few pairs of dress pants into this cube to get me through a three or four day trade show without a lot of additional ironing in the hotel. Any wrinkles I do get are minor and typically fall out after hanging. I don't see any difference between the Velcro on this cube compared to the Velcro on my older style cube and i don't see an issue based on my use of cubes for other items in my pack. Nothing goes into my pack without a cube so the cubes actually protect the items from scratches and snagging regardless. The specter line of cubes are more expensive than other cubes on the market and worth the added expense as far as I am concerned. The quality and workmanship is top of the line and packing at home and on the road is fast and efficient, the specter line is light weight and adds no real additional weight to my pack. I recommend this line of cubes to all of my coworkers.

Simple Solution for Avoiding Wrinkled Clothes

I just took a two week guided hiking trip. We were limited to one medium size suitcase or duffle bag. I am usually not a light packer, so I was worried about fitting everything in my bag. Plus we were staying in multiple hotels. I was afraid my clothes were going to be a wrinkled mess and that I was not going to be able to find anything in my bag. I took a chance on these. I am in love. My clothes looked like they had just come off the hanger - no wrinkles. I used a sheet of tissue paper inside the garments when I folded them. I used two garment folders. One for blouses and dresses and one for sweaters and jeans/pants. I could find things in an instant instead of digging around. One thing I did not consider...I purchased two small folders and two of the larger garment folders. I wear a size 2, so my clothes are not very wide. I could not use the larger folders because my clothes were not wide enough to fold properly using the board. I ended up giving the bigger ones to my husband to use. They worked great for his dress shirts and polos.

I am a tremendous fan of packing cubes eBags Packing Cubes - 3pc Set . I have a set for every member of my family, and we are all color coordinated. With the help of packing cubes, I typically can pack my family of four in a carry-on size bag including toiletries for a weekend trip. I packed all 4 of us (myself, hubby, toddler, and 7 yr old) in one larger suitcase for a week long vacation. This packing folder is nice when you need to keep items from ending up wrinkled. I like the folding board (without it i would never be able to make everything fold into the right size to fit inside)and it is easy to use, but it seems to fit my husbands clothes easier than mine. I am a size 8, 5'2 petite, and I have found that when I fold my tops according to the size board so that everything fits nicely sometimes the board it too wide. Nothing major, but something to note. The velcro on the front can catch on some items so be aware when putting in sweaters etc. I gave this item only 3 stars because I do not feel like I am getting $32 worth of value out of my purchase. I have one for myself and my husband. I can not imagine I would need any more. This is an item I would suggest you buy on sale, but hold-off on paying full price.
