How to cut the sides and fits a Fan-Tastic Fan
This fit perfect on my Fan-Tastic Fan. Had to cut off 3” of the cowl height. Used a utility knife and a coping saw to do the job. First I measured the height I needed and marked it all the way around. Then I cut on the marked line at the corners with the coping saw. Next, I used the utility knife to score the sides with 6-7 passes. I then took the coping saw and cut downward into the corners to my already cut corners. This left each side floppy and free moving. All I did from there, was to push each side inward until it snapped on the scored line. I did that to the other 3 sides. Lastly, all I had to do was wiggle it in to fit in place, securing the first corner with a loosened screw, and pushed it into place. Then, put the rest of the screws in.

I've never seen any Fantastic Vent literature that referees to the color Almond. Only white and off-white. I took a chance that this would match the "off-white" and I was correct. I found a really good deal on a Fantastic Vent, but it came with the 1 7/8 garnish, which was too short for my application. I ordered this and cut it down to the 2 3/4 inches I needed by making may passes with a sharp utility knife. Turned out great and matches the interior fan color.
