Lasted for 4 years before breaking
The design and ergonomics of the product is great but the material is hard plastic and can only withstand weight to a certain degree. I used this product for more than 4 years and then it gave up. So interms of durability it didn’t work out for me. I tried sticking the broken part with superglue but that didnt work and it broke again from the same point. If you think you are going to use long term and put more weight on it i recommend getting a more robust and one

So I thought these were only for short people, but turns out, for how high i want to sit so i can have a good ergonomic posture for my elbows not to touch my desktop (curved desk) and my eyeline to be at the top of my 3 monitors, I had to raise my chair almost to the top most it'll go, so my legs were slightly dangling, so I just rested them on the legs of the chair - bad idea. Got this thing after seeing an ergonimc video my work sent us, said we should put reams of paper so we had our feet flat or one of these at an angle, tall guy in the video wasn't short so I thought why not... I adjusted it every few days for the first few weeks to find a good spot, and I finally ended up at the highest angle with it allowing me to angle my legs comfortably. it relieves pressure on my thighs and lower back it seems. I definitely don't feel as bad as I did sitting all day as i did before using this for sure.

Purchased this product for my wife. She was using an old box under her desk at work so I really wanted her to trash the box. She is s 4th grade teacher and really enjoys her peace time when the kiddoes are out doing other educational tasks. During her peace time she attempts to catch up as much as she can behind her laptop which means she uses this footrest to elevate her feet and puts some ease in her back. I asked her recently what she thought of it and she thinks it's great. She says it does the job and the box she once used is storing school supplies the children bring in. I was skeptical in the beginning since some comments were not all that great but it's returnable. No need to return because my wife says it is fine, not fancy but it is sturdy. She doesn't stand on it and no need for expensive fancy since it's just a footstool and it's being used for the purpose it was made for.

This footrest is very comfortable, has great height adjustments, is wide enough, and I like that there are various sizes of bumps to massage my feet. The only problem I have--and it's a big one--is that it tilts back and forth WAY too easily, because there is no method of resistance built in. I have to consciously keep my feet at a certain angle and the slightest change makes the whole thing tilt. This means my ankle muscles are always engaged instead of relaxed, and it's actually rather distracting, especially when my heels tilt down just a fraction and the whole thing rapidly tilts--that can be startling and totally ruins my comfortable position. Plus, I can't use it as leverage to adjust my body in my chair This would be perfect IF it was designed with some means of resistance against foot pressure. I tried it out for a month then set it aside to return it but never got around to it, so I missed the return window by a month and now am stuck with it. I'm going to look into getting some foam blocks to put under the heel side so it stops where I want it to instead of going all the way down or all the way forward every time I flex a foot muscle.

Great little footrest! I have long legs so I'm using the legs in the "lower" inserts in the front. That puts the heel-edge at about 2" high and the top/toe area at about 4" high which is perfect for my desk. In fact, I've tried two other footrest and both were too high which caused my knees to hit the underside of my desk. This one is just right.

The quality seems good. It looks fairly nice (darkish gray). Feels like it will last a long time.

I took one star off due for the "noise factor". When I move my feet around on it, it creeks...pretty loudly sometimes. It's caused by shifting of the stand's moveable base part which can be inserted in two places, one to raise it up higher than the other. I'm going to try inserting a little cloth or something inside the mounting holes to see if that will help. Maybe a little WD40 would do the trick as well. If anyone's found a cure for this, please feel free to comment. The noise can be annoying.

Otherwise, this seems to be a very good product for the price. Recommended.

UPDATE: Duct tape to the rescue! I was able to eliminate the creaking and squeaking noises by wrapping a couple of strips of duct tape around the adjustable "leg inserts". The duct tape added some additional circumference for a very snug fit. The adjustment bar will likely not come out again easily (or possibly at all) but that's okay because the height is perfect and now it's completely silent.

The horror!

Bought the Kensington SoleMassager Exercising Footrest (K56155US), because it was the closest visual match to a Kensington footrest which gave me years of comfort before it finally broke. Bad idea. This product sems designed to fight whatever you try to get it to do --even something as sinple as getting the teeter-board to a comfortable position. After a couple of days with this camouflaged instrument of torture, the small of my back was in agony and my feet were completely numb. Once I recovered, I took the pieces of *old* Kensington footrest (which looks like a grey teeter-totter between two curved black legs; apparently it's no longer in production) back together with sturdy orange NASA spin-off space glue, and have been tolerably well ever since. Avoid this product as though it were a mad chiropractor!

I would constantly get cramps, stiffness and pain in my feet and legs, along with swelling when sitting at my computer for any length of time. This piece of equipment has absolutely minimised or eliminated all of that almost immediately. It's comfortable and strong and I could no longer do without it at all.

Klare Kaufempfehlung!
