    I needed a a good antenna for my portable sirius player. I drive trucks for my job and have to hook up my radio everyday and take it with me at the end of the day. This Marine Antenna was perfect in a couple ways. First the cord, The cord is thick and soft and you can roll it up easily. My main beef with the main antenna's for sirius is that the cord is more of a very very stiff and thin cable that does not roll up really and becomes a ball of a mess ! The main car or home antenna's for sirius are poorly designed. This marine antenna gives you a very nice cable to roll up and unroll at will and I modified it to a mount to clamp onto a rail on my truck. I also will say I receive a lot better reception with this antenna then the basic antenna sirius gives you for your car or home. I get exceptional use outta this antenna and I totally recommend it! I may buy another for a spare! in case they quit selling them someday. Sirius seems to go down in quality instead of up these days.

    Works flawlessly in my setup with a JVC head unit and SXV300 Sirius adapter. Looks rugged enough to stand up to the harsh environment of a boat when mounted externally in a fully exposed location. Vastly superior to the standard antenna that comes with the SXV300 Sirius kit. Note that this is a big device at about 3-1/2 inches diameter and 1-1/2" high. You need about 1" of clearance underneath whatever surface you bolt it to to accommodate the threaded shaft and cable.

    By buying this Antenna your in for a great experience. I mounted this antenna on the tour pack of my Harley Davidson Tri Glide and it works GREAT ! I also have one on my Boat. I've used the antenna that comes with the XM Sirius radio kit to only be disappointed with dropped signals. This unit grabs the satelite signal and doesn't let go so you can always listen to your radio with no interference. This antenna is very easy to install and well worth the money.
