My wife had lost items from a piece of checked luggage where one of the zippered compartments had opened (or been opened) on a previous trip. So I thought it was time to put locks on for our next trip. I bought 6 of these locks (3 2-packs) for travel to Europe for a Mediterranean cruise. They worked perfectly. It was easy to set the custom combinations and they were sturdy enough to withstand 3 airports and the cruise line. Many reviewers have griped about the fact that you can't select the colors you get. Hey...they are just luggage locks! Color didn't matter to me as long as they held up. And they did. Decent product at a very good price.

I ordered 2 sets of locks (4 total), and I was sure (from all the previous reviews) that they were going to come in pink & pink. But they came in pink & orange, thankfully. We used the locks on our suitcases, as well as on our cary-ons. With the instructions, it was easy to set the lock to my chosen 3-number code. We had no trouble with the locks going through airport security. Also, we kept them on the tops of our bags, near the handle, so they were less likely to get broken (as I'd read in 1 or 2 other reviews that they could break). Well, overall, they were easy to use, a good size, bright enough to spot from a distance, and they lasted our entire trip (and trust me- they were opened and closed a lot). I would definitely recommend them.

I got the purple ones (random draw of color, don't really care) they are plastic. After 1 trip through TSA/Airport baggage handling, one of them (I had one each on 2 different bags) came back utterly destroyed....it barely held on to my bag. It was already kinda loose/damaged after the first flight, did not survive the flight home!

I bought these and received 2 sets (4) pink ones. The were sturdy, easy to reset combination. I was totally satisfied with the locks. Then I refered a tour group to use them. My ears have burned with complaints about the purple ones. So, I ordered another set and got a pair of purple ones. The long and short is one wroks and one doesn't............there were different instructions to reset combination for each color, I don't know if this really had anything to do with it or, but the first lock I tried to reset (purple) did not work, has not worked, and
probably will never work. The second one (purple) opened to the instructions that came with the pink locks. Go figure.................to get your money back is a pain. If I knew I would get pink I would reorder, but there is no guarantee therefore, I will eat the purple ones and not recommend for my tour groups. The only ones I have come in contact with are the pink and purple.

These are great locks for traveling. I have owned a set for a while and needed a couple more for travel. BUT Amazon continues to use Prestige Delivery on certain items and as usual they are late. I have ordered four items in the last twelve months which were delivered by Prestige. Two were late, one never did show up and now the fourth one, late again. I even paid for 2nd. Day Shipment. They say external circumstances beyond their control. Yah right. At least they are consistent. Late that is. Look them up on the Internet for customer reviews. I have yet to find a positive one. And now I'm stuck with a $ 10.26 second day shipment that is late. Unfortunately I will be on vacation when it gets here. Great job Amazon. I suggest everyone try finding another supplier other then Amazon as they do nothing to solve these issues.

We purchased these locks to use on our luggage for a trip to Mexico. Knowing what I spent on the locks I wasn't expecting the highest quality of lock in the world but the locks worked perfectly for what they were intended to do. Which was to simply keep the contents of our bags just a little bit more secure than they would have been without a lock and the piece of mind knowing we had put a lock on them.

The items we received were exactly as described and the color that we ordered. The combination was simple to set and we didn't have any problems with the locks what so ever.

I would recommend these locks to someone who just wants to keep uninvited guests out of luggage while you travel to your destination.

The first four pictures of this product are incorrect on this listing. Note that the first four pics are for the older version of this lock which was a metal lock that was wrapped in plastic. The new version is what is shown in the video (has three grooves on one end) and is literally a plastic lock without a metal inside. Note that I own the older version of this product and it was a superior product and lasted me for more than 5 years. I still have two of the original six locks. Unfortunately during international travels four have been broken in transit. So I searched all over to replace them with new models and came across these. I have to tell that I have not travelled yet with the new version of these. Comparatively speaking though the new versions are extremely light and appear to be much cheaper in quality than the old version. Also, I ordered 3 of these 2 packs and of the 6 I received all were green and only 5 of the 6 were functional. So I have contacted Amazon and they are helping me exchange the defective lock. Amazon always has outstanding customer service. My only concern is that although these are a great price (these easily cost $8-$12 more at stores in DC), I do not think they will have the longevity of the previous Master locks I owned due to the lower quality construction. Time will tell though and I will update my review if they last through my upcoming travels.

I would also like to reiterate what others have said. Ensure you follow the directions exactly on how to set this combination. It is not intuitive and it is definitely NOT like setting other Master locks. The colors are still great and make identifying your luggage easy. My older versions were neon orange and I love the new neon lime green ones Amazon sent. I really hope these last. Fingers crossed.
