It is the gray color correct? I am confused by the first picture's purple color. Thank you!!

@laurenspector6 Good Morning! Thanks for your note and interest. You are correct, this trench is a charcoal grey and not a light grey/purple like my first pic shows. My apologies for my terrible photog skills! :( I took that first pic and tried to lighten it up to show the color and detail and yes, it does look purplish (UGH ... this poor coat feel victim to a bad IG filter). Anyway, my apologies. It is charcoal, but it's somewhat heathered, so it's not a flat grey (if that makes sense).

@laurenspector6 hope that helps, let me know if you have other questions or if other pictures could help. Thank you again for your interest in this trench and Happy Poshing! :)

Hello does this have enough layers for snow ?
gepspheps
@jannethk_idgaf Hi ... thanks for your note and interest. For reference, I'm in Minnesota, so not that I'm an expect, but I do know about cold weather and the snow. :) I'd suggest this ... if you plan to wear this for a chilly winter walk (-5), this isn't the coat for you. While it does have a hood, I'd say this is more of a Fall/Spring coat, and has nice length to it, but you'd be chilly in the dead of winter in Minnesota wearing this. This is going to protect nicely against the wind and is

@jannethk_idgaf water resistant, but isn't a puffer and isn't power filled. Hope that's helpful. If you have other questions, let me know. Otherwise, thanks again for reaching out, good luck with your search and Happy Poshing! :)

@jannethk_idgaf For reference, here's what The North Face has to say about their Windwall Fabric: WindWall® fabric is a wind-resistant fleece. WindWall® utilizes a unique fabric-bonding process that allows a limited degree of external air permeability (approximately 20 CFM), which drastically reduces the effects of windchill and enhances your warmth and comfort. WindWall® 1 fabric has a mesh liner, while WindWall® 2 fabric has a grid fleece liner for even greater insulation.
