I thought it would come with a cord for charging but it did not so we went and got a docking station for it. Otherwise it is a very good product and my son likes it.

This was a big improvement over the original SixAxis controller. The color is a nice deep red. My only gripe is that you can see the red led through the plastic on the front of the controller. Not a big deal. Looking past that i have no complaints. Also, it was cheaper than the black one.

I've learned to stick w/ Sony for controllers. Offbrands quit working after a short time. Sony controller is worth the price, and WM shipped it quick and for free to the store closest to me. The red one is the most popular one in our home, even tho' it was for me!

Great product

This controller does exactly what it's supposed to do. Red is a nice bold color, the only downside I could say about it is that the red light on top shines through the plastic and can be a little bit distracting, but other than that it's solid. I even find it easier to grip during extended game play than the standard black one. I do however find it interesting that it is ten dollars cheaper online than in my store, even when doing store pickup...

As Advertised

As other reviewers have said, the lights show through the plastic from the top of the controller, down through to the Select button. It's *really* noticeable when it's charging and all 4 lights are blinking. But, it's not distracting when you just have a single player light when you're actually playing. Easily ignored.

Because I know this may bother some people, and it was a surprise to me at first... I knocked it down one star in the expectations category. That's the only 'downfall' to this excellent controller. The 'Deep Red' color is slick.
