The Giants for $14.99 are bigger than the regular skylander giant figures but go to the skylander giants portal game (second generation) The smaller figures light up & have more power than the original skylander set. The original figures will still work on the skylander giants portal but the skylander giant figures will not work on the original game.. So it's like starting all over again.
Suggeston: as soon as you see a figure in the store, pick it up b/c later on the company makes different characters & you will not be able to find the original one you saw for the same price. Ex: I bought one grandson "Boomer" for the original game.( $7.99) Now my other grandson wants him & he is $25 or more! Pick them up now & put them away for later! :) Birthdays, etc. I hope this helps.

The new ones out that are smaller are not giants, There is 8 Giants coming out to go with the 8 elements. There are also releasing 8 new small original skylanders one for each element. Also for the Giants series 2 figures came out which is all the ones from the Skylanders games but just posed different and some do light up. There way of making you spend more. I am not getting the series 2 guys my son has all the series 1 and they work with the Giants game

These are wonderful additions to the Skylander's series. The large Giants, such as this one are mainly used in the game to do certain tasks.. such as pull floating islands together or pick up heavy boulders and move them to other locations. I am approaching the age of 40 and my best friend and I love the parenting side of shopping for these characters as a collection authorities (ha/ha)... it's a challenge! Oh, and we both love playing the game when our boys aren't around either.. it's fun! The Spyro's Adventure figurines also work on the Giants game, but it's the large Giants that make a difference. :) I hope this was helpful.

The Giants are bigger,stronger,and awesomer.They can also lift and throw boulders,reel in islands with chains and jump through the ground,all of things are in certain places.

Regular size giants and minis have basically the same stats, but the minis are cuter. This is assuming you&#39;re playing Trap Team (4) or SuperChargers (5), where the minis are playable characters. If you have a mini in Skylanders 1-3, they will just jump around you and yell. They don&#39;t really serve a purpose but count as a magic item.

What is the difference between the skylander mini giants and the skylander bigger giants

They are all out except Ningini. Eye Brawl is hard to find. I am hoping Walmart steps up to the plate & puts Amazon to shame for charging 2 & 3 times the actual price!

When are the all Giants going to be released?

As long as you are not playing Skylanders: Spyro&#39;s Adventure, Hot Head will work with any game system. Since he debuted in Skylanders: Giants, he will play with any game after that. Giants is the second game, so he will work in Giants, Swap Force (3), Trap Team (4), and SuperChargers (5), regardless of what console you play them on.
The only two characters that this logic does not hold true for are Bowser and DK, as they will ONLY work on Nintendo consoles (Wii &amp; Wii U).
