I&#39;d say mid weight.  Not like the large stakes I&#39;d purchased at Home Depot before.  But they did work much better than the little flimsy ones that come with a tent!

Camping Trip

Having all these useful items in one bag is great.  They'd usually be in 4 separate places.  And small enough to put inside the tent bag so it doesn't get lost.  The metal stakes are awesome - I've been replacing all those old yellow plastic ones that bend and break, so getting 4 in this kit is welcome.

When I busted out this accessory kit, I impressed even the most experienced campers in our group and let me tell you, I am NOT that person!  I had everyone in our group asking me where I got this cool kit and I was happy to tell the Walmart (online) and I told them that the price was perfect for this kit!  It got used by everyone in our camping group and it was a great purchase!  Well worth the cost and I looked like the most experienced camper in our group!  Thanks for making me look like I knew what I was doing out there!

I looked like the most experienced camper

This kit has almost everything you need to stake down a tent, awning or fly. I had to order extra stakes due to the kit only having 4 and most newer large tents need at least 6. It is also good to have extra stakes for other things also. The dust pan and broom is handy and the mallet is a necessity. The only drawback to this kit is that the bag for this kit is mesh and does not work well with the steel stakes. I recommend either getting a different bag, a plastic container, or tie all of the stakes together and tape the business end.

Nice Kit

This is a nice accessory package to add to a Coleman 4 person popup tent. the reason why I purchased this item. It comes with a Wisk broom and a small dust pan, a mallet, a spike remover tool, 4 spikes, and a carry bag to keep it all together. I had to order 2 extra spikes for the guy lines that hold the rain fly secure to the ground but that was no biggie since they are inexpensive enough so I ordered them. 4 hold the tent down. The spikes are not wimpy like the ones that come with the tent. This meets my needs for my tent setup. I  like this product.

Needs 2 more spikes but that's OK.

Arrived on time. I haven't had a chance to use it yet. but I ordered this to keep a tarp down over a 4x6 composting quarter in my yard.

Using for Composting Area

The rubber hammer that comes in the kit is great but you cannot use it for backpacking due to its weight.   I ended up with a bent stake when I encountered a rock under ground, I was using a rock to hammer in the stake and was not using much strength so I was very disappointed when I saw the bend in the stake.  The top part on each stake (the blue part) is made of plastic, I thought it was steel because my friends was made of steel.  But it worked just as well any way. I appreciated the little wish and dust pan, very useful.

Good tent kit with exceptions

This a good value for under $10. 

Be warned that the mallet gives off an extremely strong chemical organic compound smell. I'm planning to leave it in the garage for a few months to let the VOCs volatilize before putting it a tent.

Coleman 8-pc Tent Accessory Kit

On Line Purchase~When I saw Kit in person, I immediately returned. Personally feel Kit is not suitable for Adults due to the Quality and Size of all Contents in kit.
Kit better suited for LIGHT Hobby and/or Play Use by a Young Child with a Pup Tent.

Mallet Quality~FAIR. Rubber Head with Wooden Handle would work on the Thin Pin Stakes enclosed if pounding into Sand or Loose Soil but not recommended for Real Tent Stakes.
Mallet Better Suited for Home Arts and Crafts, light duty Hobby Wood Carpenter Projects..

Tiny-Mini Dust Pan~POOR Inadequate Size (about 6 inches) with lil Broom that fits inside pan Combo better suited to brush crumbs off table, work bench, orsmall pup tent floor, not recommended to sweep out an Adult tent, but would work if you had no other alternative.

Storage Bag ~POOR. Thin plastic mesh much like the bags Grapes are sold in at Grocery store. The enclosed Stakes and Lifter poke through the bag, stick out, will soon rip it. An average Onion Bag is more durable.

Stake Lifer~POOR. Thin Metal, presents as if it would bend easily. It should work on ENCLOSED Thin Pin Stakes to pull them out of Sand or light loose soil.

Tent Stakes~Unknown, Looked POOR. Thin Metal Pins with about 1 and 1/2 to 2 inch narrow Plastic Head that did not look durable. Definetly presented as Light Duty. Nothing I would want to trust to secure an Adult Sized Tent in a Windy Condition of any kind. The small Plastic Heads did not look durable, looked like they would snap off easily.

Over All, Disappointing Purchase ~ I do not recommend Kit for Adults.
