I contacted Customer Support at CPO outlet. They confirmed this is just the "bare tool" meaning you will have to buy the battery and charger separately.

I was skeptical of using a battery powered mower before I tried it, but I was pleasantly surprised with how it performed and the ease of use. It has the geometric features of an insect and is light and nimble in the yard and had the battery to cut all my grass.

Right tool for the job

This little Ryobi electric hand mower is exactly what I needed.  There are areas of my lawn that my Ryobi riding mower can't reach, under trees and bushes, in a drainage ditch, on steeply pitched hills, and any hard to reach uneven area of your lawn.  It is narrow and lightweight.  I bought two batteries, one for use, one for a backup and storage.  I love it, will highly recommend it as a "trim" mower.

Compact and Powerful

We have seven Greenworks tools that work off the same battery. We own a larger Greenworks mower, but bought this smaller one for our small batch of grass in our courtyard. It is lightweight and perfect for small areas. My husband did sharpen the blade after the first cutting though, as he didnt feel it was quite sharp enough.

Perfect sir small yards!

I bought this a few weeks ago for my brand new home in CO for our small front and back yard. It is very compact and works great in our decent size backyard. Our backyard was a little long (we had purchased a brand new home and this was the 3rd mow) and I did have to charge the battery once. The charge held for the entire small front yard and half of the backyard. It charged rather quickly so I was able to finish mowing. The grass catcher is rather small, so you do have to change several times during your mow, but all-in-all, I LOVE this mower and have fun mowing because it is light, compact, quiet and does a great job! I would highly recommend. NOTE: Battery and charger not included so make sure you purchase separately OR purchase mower with battery and charger.

Great size and weight. Powerful. Just a wee bit difficult to maneuver. I need to make tight turns in our small yard.

Small but powerful workhorse

This mower has one big fault.  Unless you chose the first two lowest cutting height, the lever won't hold it position.  I scalped my lawn badly in several places before I figured it out.  Now we are in the heat of summer and my lawn won't recovery until the fall.  I am using a bungee cord to hold the cutting height.  The positives are is that is really light and my lawn is many smell levels so I have to carry it.  It also has better suction than my previous Greenworks mower because it is a smaller blade with the same amount of power so it probably spins quicker.

Won't hold cutting height without modification.

I really like the power and weight of this small mower. However, there are two major manufacturing defects which need to be addressed and which are the reason for my below average rating.
1.) The Lever On/Off Switch is not well made and it will break off after a few uses. I have been on hold for an hour trying to get product support to order a replacement piece.
2.) The level to set cutting height of the blade will not hold in the highest 2 settings. It can drop down and take a chunk out of your lawn. Remedy is to use small bungee to keep the lever in place.

Manufacturing Defects

i would save your money. the (not included) battery only lasts about 10 mins before you have to recharge, and it took me almost 2 months to get everything delivered. this summer was my first time using it since i couldnt due to the late delivery last year, and now i have to plan my whole day around mowing every 2 hours (how long the battery charges for) for 10 mins. 0/10 wouldnt recommend. wouldve spent more money had i known.
