The 305 runs off a 1 lb cylinder and will be back in stock mid-April. We also have a two-burner that operates from a 20 lb tank.

WHAT KIND OF PROPANE TANK DOES IT USE? CANISTER?  
WHEN WILL THEY BE BACK IN STOCK?

What was being sought was a stainless tabletop grill that had the features I wanted. A design that is efficient, has a grease tray, cooks well, and is light enough to be portable.  I grill about 1 to 3 times a week. This is my first time using the grill and I am quite pleased.
 
WARM UP TIME- Before using the grill, I did a burn off to get get rid of manufacturing oils/residues and with the lid down, it hit 500 degrees in 15-20 minutes, on  LOW setting. 
HOT SPOTS- to be expected with a table top grill but minimal. Center of the grill did cook slightly faster. The flames are that perfect blue with the small yellow tips.  
FLARE UPS- no problem there. The same meat on my prior grill would have been a mess.
PRESS BUTTON IGNITER- worked poorly.Tried 5times. Fires off and sparks, did not light the gas. Is it positioned too far from the gas? Used a lighter. Next time, it immediately lit with the same lighter in less time.
HEAT RETENTION- amazing, very little loss of cooking heat through the bottom or top of the grill
THERMOMETER- works great. Just be careful not to slam the grill lid. That can cause damage/destroy a thermometer.
COOKING TIME- five 1/2" thick  burgers by 4" wide in under 15 minutes on medium. I was impressed. First I closed the lid and let the grill warm up to about 350-400 degrees. Not burned and cooked perfectly.
GREASE-when I cooked those burgers, my grease tray had no grease in it! 
CLEAN UP- I consider this grill good enough to be an investment so I pull out everything. Easily wiped the cooking grill (pre oiled w olive oil), inside the grill body, and the grease tray. Leftover food/grease will destroy a grill. Took about 8 minutes at a relaxed pace and dried it after.
CONSTRUCTION- Maybe it interferes with efficient heat distribution, but I would have thought the heat plate could have been a little thicker. Burner support brackets should have been a thicker metal. Screws that hold the 'U' end of the burner were missing the nuts.  Should have used spring washers under the nuts. Easy to assemble the other parts that come not assembled. 
DESIGN - A feature I love is that the body of the Pit Boss has a shape that funnels grease to the tray but actually, with my burgers the grease cooked off before it reached the grease tray. The folding legs are a great feature, and the lid clips to lock the lid are a good quality. I will have to test the grill out in windy conditions but I don't think wind will put out the flames on this grill because of its design. 
ADVERTISEMENT- the ad is incorrect on the BTU because it is a 10,000 BTU grill(not 12,000).  No problem otherwise
PORTABILITY-definitely a winner. Light, easy to handle. I do not use the small 1LB containers at home. I hooked it up with a 5foot extension hose to a 20LB propane tank. 
SHIPPING- came UPS in great shape, and bonus: a day early too.

     I didn't want a big grill. This grill fits my needs perfectly and I would buy it again. It is easy to put away into the garage, which helps prevent rust. I will also be able to take this grill anywhere and no more bringing extra cardboard to put under the grill for grease. Despite some flaws, I love this grill and look forward to cooking more with it. The rating system does not allow, otherwise it would have been a 4 and 1/2 stars.

Pit Boss 305 Table Top Grill

This is a nice little portable grill.  I needed an extra smaller grill exclusively for grilling veggies and this one caught my eye.  The price seems very reasonable when compared to other grills in the same category.  One thing I  would change in the design is to have the ability to control the airflow through the grill when with the lid is down.  There are some vent ribs in the back but if you're grilling on a windy day it is difficult to maintain temperature.  All in all I think this is well worth the price.  I would have given it 4.5 stars if I could.
