Burners

Don't think twice about buying the 670.  You won't be disappointed. The features are awesome from the built in rotisserie to the infrared burner to the smoker box and searing station, It is worth every penny.  Very easy assembly

Awesome grill

Bought this grill in 2012 to replace my Viking gas grill that was damaged by a tree branch in a early October snow storm.  Always had to use a lighter with the Viking.  Igniter never worked even after a technician came to the house to repair.  No issues with Weber.  Always works & cooks to perfection ( oh, maybe that is the chef !  )  The only issue I have is the chrome handles.  I live on the ocean & the salt is peeling the lightly coated chrome from the handles.  Hopefully I can replace then next summer season.

Longevity

We've used this several times since getting a couple weeks ago. We enjoy the rotisserie and the built in smoke box. Very sturdy and easy to start. This is a step up from a prior Weber genesis grill we had for over 10 years.

Loving this grill!

I've had this grill now for a few months and thoroughly enjoy its versatility and performance.  I don't always need the entire grill to cook, but with the large grill area, I can use all or only part of it to tailor my needs to the size crowd I'm cooking for.  The sear station is another welcome feature.  It gets very hot when needed to quickly sear and seal any piece of meat.  The built in rotisserie is also very handy as I was always looking for and assembling my old one with my previous grill.  The one improvement I would recommend is to upgrade the wheel casters to something along the lines of a 3 or 4 inch rubber locking caster.  This is a heavy grill and would roll so much easier with these type of casters.  It would also add a nice “upgrade touch” seeing as how expensive this grill already is.

Solid performance, great versatility

My husband thinks I am the best wife ever!   This is absolutely the best grill and all his friends were super jealous at our 4th of July BBQ.  I highly recommend.

I've been a Weber gas grill owner since 1975. Since that time I've bought and heavily used four Genesis models until I treated myself and purchased a Summit E-670 two years ago. This grill does everything and more than I could have expected. Wheather I'm feeding two or twenty, it stands up to the test. I'm as old as Weber (1952), so I know quality when I see it.

Summit E-670 rocks!

Only had it a week. Still learning the heat patterns. Very satisfied with the product. I had a 20 year old Silver series and I find myself missing the two shelf's the you could pull up and engage for extra work space. Trying to figure out if I can retro fit a pull out shelf on each side. Other than that really happy with the purchase so far.

New Summit 670

I purchased this grill about a year ago. It heats quickly, cooks evenly, and gets VERY hot. In 10 minutes with lid closed it will heat to over 700 degrees. The grill is solidly built and has every feature we wanted. You get what you pay for (if you are lucky), and this grill is worth every penny and more.  Life is short, but the grill !

Best grill I have ever owned!

I got the grill Wednesday and we unboxed it and put it together yesterday. In the un packaging process I noticed that it was dented in the back. The dent is neither structural nor does it affect the functioning of the grill, so I'm not returning it but just disappointed to have so much for something to have it come in damaged.

Damage

The Summit E-670 was delivered by a freight company and I was impressed by the way it was 85% pre-assembled and packaged from the factory.
The knobs light up at night and give it a professional look. The lights mounted on the hood handle are very functional for cooking. The outside burner works very good for cooking (good btu's rating).The searing burner works well even though it uses three of the center burners for searing.
These are some of the pros that come to my mind. Now the the cons. It's very hard to control the heat we have tried to cook ribs on this grill with no success (rib jerky). We recently purchased a Weber premium limited kettle grill for controlled heat cooking great combination between the two for outdoor cooking.
