I know, I took a little time to write a review about our Snow Joe, first we had to wait for snow conditions to be more appropriate for the use of our Snow Joe, because ice is not the situation we want to use it. Indeed, a thick ice shower prevented Snow Joe from functioning normally. We waited until the snow conditions were adequate and my spouse made some use of it. Today we used it for a normal layer of snow about 5 inches thick and the Snow Joe functioned wonderfully, it would have been appreciated if we could steer a little better in which direction to project our snow for a more efficient cleaning. For its long term effectiveness we will have to wait, because we have ours only for a few weeks. A slightly more negative point the blowing of the snow requires to work a little in the curved position which in the long run creates back pain.

Wow, very pleased.  Purchased on Black Friday, 2023. Arrived 5 days later.  Rained the night I assembled it and then snowed on top of that.   The 11",  Snow Joe 24V-SS11 24-Volt* IONMAX Cordless Snow Shovel, 5AH battery just scooped up the 1 inch of frozen slush and launched it 20' off my deck.  I have a 26" 2 stage snow blower but it's difficult to maneuver and using it in light snow is a lot of work and impossible to use on my deck and front porch.  This SnowJoe is very easy. Very pleased.

Wow - easily removed 1" frozen rain and snow

I was very surprised and happy with the easy way this shovel worked. I was able to do all my sidewalks and long driveway within 1 hr.  And my neighbors were amazed with how great this shovel worked that they are looking to buy snow Joe shovel also. This is excellent product.

Excellent shovel

This is a great unit for clearing deck with railing as it projects the snow over railing. Works great for walkways too but would be better if blower shute direction could be adjusted.

This cordless shovel works as advertised, and made its way through a wet 6-inch snow with relative ease. However, assembling it was an unforeseen challenge requiring the finessing of the cord inside the handle tubing in order to get the handle put together. Suggestion: give this unit a single tube instead of two. Otherwise, a good purchase!

Good Snow-Clearer, Once It's Assembled

I had this Shipped to me, Even though I haven't been able to use it yet, I will tell you about Receiving this and Assembly. 

First when I opened it the SnowJoe Shovel looked like it was thrown into the box, Not neatly Packaged.

Second the Box that the Battery was enclosed in was Damaged even though the Battery looks new???

Third was the Battery was not Fully Charged and only had two lights illuminated which never started the Shovel, So I fully Charged the Battery.

And the Largest Problem was that when you Assemble the unit, The Screw would not go through the Assembly hole to place the wingnut on it, After inspection I seen a Plastic tube within the top portion of the Upper Shaft that was Blocking the Assembly Hole for the Screw and wingnut, So there was no way to adjust the Plastic tubing inside the upper shaft, So I had to Assemble the two shafts together and Duct Tape them together, So far I am not impressed and may return it due to it being defective.

Not what I expected so far. 😞😞😞

The first couple of times I used it was in aapproximately 2 “ of wet slushy snow. Wasn't strong enough to handle it, I figured that wasn't really what it was designed for. The third time was with an inch of close to fluffy snow and it left a thin layer of snow and even with scraping I couldn't get a clean sidewalk. It does leave ridges in the layer of it leaves which may come in handy if it is ices up.
Bottom line it's easier than shoveling but does a far inferior job.

Mediocre at best

I purchased Snow Joe due to nerve damage in my arm. I found it is quite heavy once you put the battery in. Also the safety button is located on one side instead of the middle. This makes it impossible to switch hands when it becomes heavy. This was very aggravating.
         The Snow Joe DOES clear a great pathway if you have the strength and muscle to use it.

It's defective, cannot assemble, made of very poor quality material. Looks like a very cheap piece of massive plastic. I will return it to the store. I do not recommend this item!

Snow Joe snow removal

i got this so that my elderly father does have to work so hard shoveling the snow. in theory this is a great idea but in practice, it does not clean up snow and my father had to use it like a normal shovel with the occasional spitting out of the snow. i tried it out thinking it was user error but it was not. will be returning this
