no, there is no battery to be charged. You plug it into an electric cord and mow. We use a 100' electric cord and just flip it a bit at the end of each turn to keep it out of the way.

No, you have to buy a cord long enough to reach beyond your yard from the outlet, and then make sure you don't run over the cord.

There is no battery, you must be connected to the cord while mowing. Be careful not to run over the cord while mowing, and make sure you have the proper sized extension cord. According to the manual, the cord must be at least 14AWG for a cord up to 50 feet long. If you need a longer cord than that, it should be 12AWG for up to 100 feet long.

I would buy Sun Joe Power Cord. It has a light on the cord so you will always know that you have power.

Wal-Mart carries a cord made by the manufacturer. I purchased it on-line.

I ordered a Coleman 100ft ( needed this length) 14 gauge cord that provides 15amps up to the first 50ft & then 13amps the last 50ft of the cord from the Walmart website for approximately $45.00. You can also purchase 50ft length for less money. Amazon also sells the same cord for pretty much the same cost. You just need to make sure that the cord you purchase provides at least 13amps it's entire length. The cord I purchased is listed on the website as "Coleman Cable 14/3 SJTW Outdoor 100' Vinyl Extension Cord, Red". Hope this helps.
