No, it is not necessary to install the canopy. As a matter of fact, there are plastic plugs that cover the holes where the canopy poles would go.

I did not have high expectations for this piece given the prices I found for similar items! I could not have been more wrong! This is a solid piece of patio furniture, very comfortable and stylish! Was easy to assemble. I did add extra outdoor pillows for extra comfort and and to make it look more inviting- other than that it's perfect!

Great quality for the price

I absolutely love 'my cabana' it gives me a Miami feel. I love being outdoors at nice resorts, so when I saw this piece I had to have it. When I'm unable to go out of town, I can go out on my deck and get the same feeling. Thank you Walmart for having a great affordable bed for fantastic quality. Only negative are the pillows, not my taste but they will be changed.

My Cabana

I read all the reviews on this before buying, not to mention, searched the internet for an outdoor lounger that was under $500 (which seemed highly unlikely). I stumbled across this one and kept it in my cart for over a month, debating back and forth. It dropped a little in price so I saw it as a sign and just bought the dang thing. The box was pretty beat up when it arrived from the shipping company so I was a little concerned. Opened it up and nothing seemed wrong with it. Pretty easy to set up, some of the holes didnt exactly line up but my husband helped me get it all together. It was the best buy I've made in a long time and my favorite thing in the backyard! We've gotten so many compliments on it. Its beautiful, so comfy and very sturdy. Seriously the perfect outdoor daybed, especially when you consider the price. Dont be me and hesitate on buying...just buy it.

Amazing outdoor bed

I have been looking for almost five years for an outdoor daybed. I found some at Cost Plus but they all had bad reviews. I came across this one and found the reviews very helpful. It was easy for my husband to put together. It is built VERY well - sturdy enough for my husband and me with our four children. Well worth the price!!

Worth every penny!

I really wanted a daybed and this was the only one I found that wasn't super expensive. Like all the other reviews have mentioned, this day bed is great! It's a good size, comfortable and the green is a lovely color. It's nice how it also comes with the pillows. It was easy to assemble (I didn't use the canopy as it's under a canopy). Really great deal for the price which included free shipping. It looks more expensive than it was. I also purchased the 4 piece patio set that matches and two matching side tables (Keter Pacific Cool Bar Rattan Party Cooler).

This daybed is AWESOME!

We love this daybed! Even tho there is some scratches on the pole and some on the metal frame it is still worth it! Love how it seats on our patio and how comfy just laying on it! Would definitely recommend everyone who is looking for a nice daybed outside!
I even got a cover for it to prevent heavy downpour! In case anyone need to get a cover I have attached the picture of the cover I got for it, it is actually for swing set but it fits perfect with 2 zipper at the side in front and it is less then $20 from Walmart!
Too bad it only allow to post 2 picture or I could have post the picture with the cover on.
