I've read so much on the initial seasoning and upkeep that I thought it would be time consuming and hard to keep up with.  It's not hard to do, and I keep it covered to protect from the weather.  Food tastes great and I haven't had an issue with anything sticking!

My Blackstone!!

Overall a nice griddle. However the cover is flawed in my opinion. It doesnt attach at all, just floats on top. I suggest a grill cover so the wind doesnt blow it away as its relatively light. They say to hang it off the back when in use but at 5'10' with long, lanky arms, I've got to stretch way out and stand on my tip toes. Even stretching out it still tends to catch the wrong part of the bracket meant to hold it on the back of the griddle. The grease cup also hangs off the back so its almost impossible not to scrape the cover against it when removing. All this, combined with the amount of space this action takes up behind the griddle means its just easier to set the cover off to the side somewhere.   Had i known i wouldnt have gotten one with a cover.

Go to the store to pick up! Ours was damaged in shipping. This is a product my husband has wanted for a couple of years so I was excited to get it. It's heavy so I opted for delivery. Delivery driver left it in the middle of our driveway. It comes in the Blackstone box and he got home before me! He was surprised but not on Christmas. As he's unboxing and putting it together there is damage to the base-photos submitted. My advice is to go to the store and pick it up. This way you know who is loading and unloading the package. Hopefully WalMart will make this right. 
If you're in the market for something like this you have researched and know this is a good value and a great way to go!

Go to the store! Don't have it delivered.

Check your box carefully as our griddle was damaged.  I'm not sure if it was the manufacturer or WalMart (thinking the latter), but it had to be hit with some force to cause the damage (maybe a forklift?) as the quality of the product is good.  The box was taped up on the corner and the inside corner cardboard was missing.  We have an event we need it for so we are going to have to try to fix it ourselves vs packaging it up and returning it.  Very disappointing!

Disappointed with Delivery

Brought the grill brand new for pick up. Mind you it was already at this location, they just needed to load it into the truck. Open the grill only to find the hard cover lid to be chipped and rusted already. The box had no damage or anything. So somewhere down the line it passed through the factory line looking new but with a chip and eventually rusted.

Better manufacturing and quality awareness

One of the knobs is miss formed, so I doesn't fit on and won't sit flush. The lid is bent. The stone is rusted and won't sit flush, it rocks.

Name brand isnt always better

Had it delivered to my house from a local Walmart. It was damaged, box was in terrible condition. It should have never been delivered.

Product was rusted when we received it. The box was in very rough condition. We decided to open it anyway and check the condition of the parts. We put the grill together and at the end discovered the griddle was rusted on the bottom.

I am writing this letter to express my extreme displeasure at the condition of my brand new Blackstone four burner 36 inch griddle with the hard cover. After owning it for less than one month and never having a chance to use it, the cooking surface is completely covered with surface rust that cannot be removed. I designed my summer kitchen inside my part covered patio based on this grill which now we  refuse to use because of the rust. And health issues 
Is this a flaw in the design or is it my particular unit that is having this problem? 
Any advice or corrective action that can be done would be greatly appreciated. The condition is completely unacceptable at the present moment.

Love the grill disappointed in the condition! I took pictures of the box on delivery because it was beat up. Now I started assembling it two weeks later and this is what I got.
