The Swanson AlwaysSharp Refillable have been really nice to have around my office. I like that this set came with two full pencils and some extra tips. I gave one pencil to my mom for her to use in her craft room and I have one that I was using, but my wife took and is now using in her craft room as well. both women say that it's so easy to keep this pencil around and they love the fact that it's always sharp. This is actually like those old-school pencils that you used to have in elementary school where you just pull out the bottom part and put it back in the top, and you always have, a fresh pencil. One thing that I wish this pencil did have was an eraser and I think that would make it above and beyond. I like that these pencils easily fit in your hand and is also able to fit in your pockets, purses, backpacks, or anywhere else you might need it. My kids even took it to use while doing their homework and they were actually really impressed with how well it wrote. I have used this on regular paper, cardboard, a wall and other things and it has worked great.

Very nice heavy duty plastic capenter pencil, 2 in package with 8 replacement tips. You can mark with a thin or thick line depending upon how you hold the pencil. The barrel is fairly substantial with a tip protector which would appear to last a long time in tool box or pocket.

Carpenter Pencil

The Swanson always sharp mechanical pencil is great. It's durable and never needs to be sharpened. When one pencil tip is finished you pop it out and insert it in the back. Then a new fresh and sharp pencil comes out.

These pencils were great, they were easy to hold, good quality on the pencil itself. I really enjoyed the ease of use, they made my carving a lot simpler, and decrease the time it took me to measure, and carve with precision.

Carpenter pencils that uses cartridges and doesn't need to be sharpen. Very handy for building projects. Pencil comes with a clip, but too long to clip in shirt pocket. Maybe on belt. Comes with 2 pencils and 8 extra cartridges.

Stocking stuffer!

I can't believe I have gone this long without getting a carpenter pencil like this. I am just a DIY guy so these 2 pencils will last me the rest of my life. It has a lid to protect the tip when not in use and a clip on the other end to hang on your pocket, so no more pencil behind my ear that falls off every time I put on or take off my safety glasses. It writes well and I haven't broken a tip off yet. The pencil is filled with refills with 8 extra's on the side. The cap doesn't stay on the end of it very well when using it, so that is a bit annoying, but otherwise it is awesome.

Being a lifelong woodworker I have used so many different styles of pencil or in some cases a marker depending on the project and I have always preferred a good carpenter's pencil. The Swanson Tool Co Always Sharp Refillable Mechanical Carpenter is everything I love about a carpenter's pencil with non of the drawbacks. The pencil feels good in my hand and not chea[. It's sturdy yet light and doesn't fall apart the second you drop it. A lot of mechanical pencils feel a bit squishy but not this one. Replacing the tips is quick easy and convenient, no more sharpening while you have this pencil. Perfect for all the woodworking jobs that I have come across. One of the features I like the most is that it has a clip so you can use just about any pocket you want without fearing that it will fall out the second you bend over. I would most definitely recommend the Swanson Tool Co Always Sharp Refillable Mechanical Carpenter Pencils with Black Graphite Replacement Tips, model CP216 to all my friends and family and to all my fellow woodworkers out there.
